Hey everyone!

We want to thank you all for your support in 2024. This has been an incredible year for us, and we appreciate you taking the time to be on this journey with us!

We'll share details about what to expect in 2025 and beyond early in January. For today's post, we want to look back at the year we've just had.

Realm 3
This year, Realm 3: High Lathión has been the focus. We released all but one of the main story updates in 2024, and we're excited to release the side paths early next year.

We're so happy with the reception of the new chapter, both here and on Steam.

ACTC/R4
This year, we also announced a second game, A College of Thirst & Claws, that a second team has worked on in the background.

We also started early prep on Realm 4, such as creating environments, posing scenes, and even creating a couple of animations. We will share our plans for Realm 4 more in next month's post, and we're excited to do so!

Team
Most of these people are already referenced in the game's credits, but to give them recognition and for you to know directly where your monthly pledges and our Steam revenue funds are going, below is a list of our current team members. Some are part-time, some are full-time, but they all contribute towards what we do.

Blender
With the main story of Realm 3 completed, we have officially transitioned from Daz 3D to Blender as our 3D software.

We already worked on animations in Blender, but now, with moving still image scenes posing there, it will offer us various advantages compared to Daz 3D. We're eager to continue exploring what it can do!

Tae posed all the still images in Daz 3D, but others will now pose the scenes in Blender based on her descriptions.

This allows Tae to focus more on writing. She can further improve her writing and storytelling and more thoroughly flesh out the universe of TSR. Before, she had to juggle various tasks. She still does multiple other tasks, including managing the team and overseeing things, but she can focus far more on writing as her core task.

Overall, this year has been a great success for us. That's not to say we haven't made any mistakes. Tae and I have learnt a lot while developing The Seven Realms; this year, we have probably developed ourselves more than ever. We've learnt from our mistakes and successes and feel better positioned to manage our games, our fantastic team, and ourselves.

This is excellent news for SeptCloud's future. We genuinely feel we are moving forward from a place of strength.

As mentioned at the top, we'll post in January about what to expect in 2025 and beyond.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you again for your support this year. The game wouldn't be what it is today without you, and your continued support allows us to continue improving and developing this game that we're incredibly passionate about!

As our supporters here, we want you to feel like you get the most out of following and pledging to our page. Alongside regular game updates, the core rewards we offer are:

Changes I am currently considering:
  • Something we unintentionally stopped during Realm 3 was our behind-the-scenes posts for each new release. This is something we will start up again this year.
  • I am considering changing the way we run image polls. We have been doing them the same way (except for adding an extra one each month) since we launched our page in 2022, and I want to mix it up a bit to keep them fresh.
  • The development posts were previously only for paid members. I plan to change this to "Free & Paid Members" so you don't have to pay to keep up with what's happening. We will then separately post more exclusive sneak peeks as a benefit for Paid Members.
  • While logistically, running giveaways alongside the game's development can be complicated, we always enjoy them. However, we're still trying to determine the best way to facilitate them. (As a side note, thanks to the winner of our December giveaway, who gave the idea for this post's image!)
Considering all of this, please let us know if you have suggestions around these points or what you'd like to see more from us.

We cannot promise that we will implement your ideas as you present them, but we may be able to build upon them or develop them into some other type of reward.

As we did last January, we plan to start each year by posting about what you can expect from us in the upcoming year.

2024 was a fantastic year for us. When you look back at our journey of developing Realms 1, 2 & 3, we hope you can see our continued drive to improve the quality of The Seven Realms. It was no easy task to get there, and we faced hurdles along the way, but the growth of our Patreon page in recent months and the success of Realm 3 on Steam has shown us that our efforts have not been in vain. We're starting 2025 in the strongest position we've ever been in.

Team
We shared details about our team in our recent .

Over the last couple of years, we've worked hard to cultivate a great team. We slowly built up our team and we've now been working together for some time. We have overcome many of the initial hurdles collaborating as a team can face, and we're working on streamlining our workflows to ensure everyone is happy and we can work as efficiently as possible.

If we can find the right people, we may hire one or two more people this year to assist Shoe_Lac3 in reducing their workload and speeding up the process, but they will need to be the right fit. After this, our team will be at capacity.

Side Paths
The Realm 3 side paths are currently in progress. We do not have a specific release date yet, but we will likely release the first batch towards the end of this month.

Today, we have the final images for parts of Gina, Kagome, Tasha, and Yuki's side paths. The animations are in progress for these. Currently, these characters will be the first side paths released.

We previously mentioned that we have changed our 3D software from Daz 3D to Blender. This will offer numerous possibilities for improving our graphics as we progress through the side paths and into Realm 4.

Realm 4
While the side paths are our main priority, Tae has been writing Realm 4. Most of it has been written, with some finishing touches needed. We have already begun early work on some of the scenes in Realm 4.

While we are in the early stages of Realm 4, we do not plan to begin releasing updates for it soon.

Our objective for Realm 4 is to have much more prepared before we start releasing chapters for it. Once we've released the first chapter, we want to release them as regularly as possible (ideally, still monthly), but for each chapter to be substantially larger than those we've provided for Realms 1 - 3.

The overall length of Realm 4 will be slightly larger than what Realm 1 was, but our objective is to release it in fewer updates. These numbers are not exact, but as an example, we will release it across five larger chapters rather than over ten smaller ones.

Another objective for Realm 4 is to offer more variations than previous Realms. This does not simply relate to providing more choices. It means earlier decisions, relationship points, and other factors we've tracked in the background alter the character's dialogue further to ensure each playthrough feels unique. This is something we offered in previous Realms, but due to the constraints of working in Daz, sometimes it proved difficult for us to add too many variations. Now that we're in Blender and can load scenes quicker, we feel more confident exploring this further.

ACTC
While will not be released here on our TSR page, as we are working on this project, it feels appropriate to mention it here.

We announced ACTC last year. While we have separate people working on TSR and ACTC, mine and Tae's attention is primarily on TSR. When we decided to begin work on another game set in the same universe, one of the most important considerations to us was to ensure it did not negatively impact our release schedule of TSR. We are confident that we've kept a steady release schedule with TSR and will continue doing so.

Once the bulk of my (Jay) work on the side paths is complete, I won't have anything significant to do on Realm 4 for a time, so I will focus on ACTC to get that into a position for release.

ACTC has no specific release date, but we hope to release it in Spring this year. If not, then it will be the Summer. The game is ambitious, and it's important to us that we release it in a good state. It's also worth noting that we're not releasing smaller chapters for this game; we are releasing the entire season in one go. The season is also larger than an individual Realm of TSR.

We don't have much else to share about ACTC, but we're excited to do so in the coming months.

Future Projects
Long-term, we're interested in turning SeptCloud into an indie game development studio, and last year helped us move closer to this objective.

Tae and I have numerous ideas for future projects. We're careful not to overextend ourselves, but in our free time, we often enjoy discussing our game ideas and the direction we want SeptCloud to take.

For 2025, our development objectives are clear: to have the entire Realm 4 released and ACTC Season 1.

After that, we will begin the development of Realms 5,6,7 and subsequent seasons of ACTC.

I really like the image of some of the houses in Realm 4, it looks like a small medieval village mixed with a magical world.

I was expecting an underwater world like in Aquaman, I even had my memes about how they were going to breathe underwater :ROFLMAO:.

Hi, I have a problem with the third part, after the new house event, the game skips all the elves' content until the part where they return to the house... I play the steam version. I tried downloading it separately from steam and the exact same thing happens to me.

Alright what the FCK is going on with Realm 3 or High Lathion?
I have only begun and am already confused.
The MC and friends are in Sun Elf territory, MC is talking with an old friend, which is a full scene, NEXT scene, he is in front of the King and Queen, then setting out to go to the Moon Elf territory with a representative who apparently the MC knows, in order I am guessing to find a necessary ingredient for a potion, then BAM that never happened or was talked about, just move on to a gathering of the 4 without even leaving the castle with the recently introduced Moon Elf.
MC meets an arrogant Elf General, goes for a walk and the rest of THAT scene is removed.
We meet with the elf friend from earlier and get busy, right after FOREPLAY, we cut to how MC is enjoying YUKI, where the fck did SHE play in the story so far and why the immediate immersion-breaking scene have to happen in the MIDDLE of another?
Did he teleport, right when he was going to change positions, then teleport back so we can hear that MC is out of power or whatever from the excursion he just went on?
I picture the story as a deck of cards that was shuffled before I played them.
Am I playing a broken version?
Is the mod I used from OP fcking this up, or is there another reason I haven't thought about yet?

The game works fine, those who have problems with a jump in the scenes are using a mod or have used one in the past and have the saves and above all the "persistent" file completely contaminated and broken.

The game is like a novel and does not have so much branching, with less than 8 saves you can see all the content :WeSmart:.

I only recommend to install the "Twins Patch" in the folder with Realm 1 and 2 (v0.21) and nothing else.

Starting over from Realm one wouldn't be a negative waste of time, and I am guessing it will be necessary to play it completely through without the multi mod, but what is the twins mod that I cant seem to see?
Remember, if you want to start from scratch, you have to delete the persistent file, old saves can be overwritten or left unused.

The twins patch simply adds an nsfw scene that is banned by Patreon's ridiculous terms and conditions.

Oh I dont need the twin patch then.
I can live without one scene out of many.
Yes I deleted the 2 folders and started fresh on both as well.
Realm 3 has began and already I see a scene of their new house that I completely missed the first time.
Thank you for your advice, I hope you know it was very helpful in keeping my confusion, patience and aggression in check.

Alright I think its official.
My favorite girl after our Prime, Layala has to be Morwen.
It was surprising to see a physique like hers on an Elf, but I find she has the perfect proportions, even more than my third, Naya.
That's another observation: Her Bondmate Kali is a mage focus, where she is the Alpha Werewolf.
I would expect Naya's body to be lean and trim, being physically active all of her life, while Kali having more of a curvy figure like her sister.
Not that I am complaining on how any of the girls are rendered, since they have had a lot of wonderful detail added to make each of them individual and beautiful in their own special way.
Edit: The improvements made on Realm 3 onwards are spectacular, and much better on the eyes.
The outfits created like the black and gold on Lucius, the upgrades to the characters, specifically facially, are incredible, almost like the devs are using 2 SLI 4090s to make these as opposed to a single 4060ti or something.
Anyways, another improvement I felt the need to show my appreciation for.

I love Leyala but this would have been such a fun game if we were bonded to Kagome and trying to straighten out the Realms.
