Caught up with the game after almost 1.5 year without playing. I have to say that the devs did a WAY better job at showcasing the conflict between the Elves than they did with the Demons/Witches. Whereas in realm 2 the choice was between the cool as fuck Ba'el and the annoying, bitchy, arrogant witches, in realm 3 we actually have cool characters - and lore supporting the conflict - on both sides. Here, if we are forced to make a choice, I will genuinely have trouble picking sides (although I do think the choice would be between individuals and not species this time).
The character writing continues to be good, with Erevan (I think that was his name), Idril, Morwen and the Queen being the stars of this arc.
If there is one thing that disappointed me a bit is that Atlas didn't have a proper fight scene yet. For someone who is considered to be one of (if not) the strongest being after the Rulers of the Realms, he is strangely a background character in most action sequences so far.
As for the love interests. Leyala, Kali and Naya are still my top 3, with Tasha and now Idril and Morwen as my favorites after them. The rest of the girls I'm not really interested in.
Anyway, loved seeing the improvement both in renders and in the writing since last year. This game has the potential to be one of the greats when it's finished and I'm here for it.
But I also think the changes he will undergo from the impact of his bond with three beautiful women is, potentially, the most significant internal conflict for the MC. Especially given his closed emotional nature which you so aptly point out.
