Am i right in thinking this is just side paths?

Can i continue playing from where the last update left off, or do i need to replay something to open up the paths?

Right before the final "SAVE NOW" screen you get side path choices.

So no new progression then after the

Picked the three realms up in the Steam sale last week and finished them immediately.

A couple of things, playing the MC as a man slut, sticking it in everyone who will let him, but his bondmates never comment on it when he sees them directly after having sex with someone else. You would think they would have experienced it through the bond and might have something to say about how it interrupted their training, or their quiet time or their lunch or what ever but they never mention it. After a solo event with a bondmate, the other two don't mention how they couldn't go right to sleep because the MC and her were humping like rabbits. Just seems odd that he spends most of his sexy time with any of the bondmates thinking about how he can feel what they are experiencing, yet never verbalizes it at the time, and they never bring it up.

Then Gina, any sexy time she spends with the MC should be hurting her bondmate but it is never mentioned.

Not a big fan of needing to slaughter half of the witches on the demon path or 1.7 million moon elves in the latest game, but so be it, ruling is hard.

It's brought up a few times especially by Kali.

You don't have any say in what happens on the demon route. You help rule Terran, Ba'el rules Pythonium. What happens there is his choice unless you go for the Witches then you can save them.

Pretty much same for High Lathion. Although i'm pretty sure I didn't kill all those Moon Elves but I sided with the Witches and Seraphina created the cure for me.

You do have to remember you're only going to these other realms to ask for their help. While the Vampires did once conquer most of the realms, they don't rule them anymore. While you can influence things (like picking who to back between Demons and Witches), the rulers of those realms have final say.

Like backing the Demons means Ba'el will do what he was planning to do, you can't stop him. You do negotiate him down from killing them all though.

Killing those Moon Elves was the only way to contain the curse if you don't have the cure.

What a f*cked up end for the Elves. I didn't like those arrogant backstabbing witches so I sided with the Demons but... I kinda regret it now lol Well, I just have to kill some elves now. I don't do "half mesures"... I hate it tho.

Damn, my brain just reminded me of this very old [Arthas Purges Stratholme] cutscene :ROFLMAO:

Whoa a game rendered with scene lighting for once, apreciate that.

Is it just me or is the very start somewhat uninteresting, not to say boring? - can't even say why that is.
It get's immediately more interesting at the fist action scene in the hotel room - I almost quit before that, luckily I didn't.

Realms 1+2 are a separate game alltogether. Currently the story and the plot has all characters adventuring in the elven kingdom, so if Internet pulls from the most recent adverts of today, the latest realm to explore is, indeed, R3.
When I launch both R2 and R3 separately, both shows High Lathion, are both the same realm?
Spoiler alert: Game starts with Ley and all the girls killing elves with extreme prejudice without a second thought - this is the tone to it all - for vamps and for werewolves alike: all other creatures are on the menu, as the lore unmistakenly suggests.

Game starts with a whole intricate killing spree - the R3 game, that is.

R1+R2 game starts with MC and a werewolf battling it out on the dating scene, both actively feuding over a girl to hook up with, resulting in the girl leaving alone and conflicted by their vile rivalry.

Then there is the hotel room slaughter scene which is high octane high action;
- not sure what slow beginnings you are referring to.

Sometimes the taunt before the fight is interesting in its own way; Picture this: cartel mobs meet and talk it out then the shootout begins.
That is a staple of mob/cop/undercover themed movies, games and series the world over.
Diss rap battles in places where fights break out is a whole theme in real life.

Since I never played Realms before, I mean the very beginning, R1 Bar scene, MC with friends and werewolves, girl shows up... that scene...
The whole thing in the bar is rather dull and gives sort of "oh no hollywood highschool vampire drama" vibes.
As said before, gladly it got immediately much better in the hotel room when LI & MC are getting attacked.

Like relations between contries, verbal spats between warring factions, as opposed to phisical violence, those are what would happen when mystical creatures such as werewolves and vampires try to avoid bloodshed, which MC and his opponent were trying to do in the pub.

What did you genuinely think would happen once you start like that?

I expected nothing else than killing Elves? But I hated to do it. That's all I said :) I was in the same mindset as Kali.
I felt that putting them in quarantine would be potentially way more dangerous for the Elves.

If you mean me with that answer:
Well yes perfectly understandable and fine, but it's the intro scene and the player knows nothing at all yet about the people and settings...
It's a nice approach to start in a story scene and not in a long winded useless explaination of everything, dead parents, runnaway fathers, strange motves or unexpected wealth like in other VNs...

Was just saying the way it's written is a bit unengaging, and nearly had me miss out on the game.
At that point in time the given information and interaction isn't of value for the player, the hook comes after the bar scene.

The whole scene makes sense restrospectively of course, not exactly when you play through it.
I find it drags on a bit to much giving information the player doesn't need at that point in time, or would better be given through the talks during or following the fight to engage the player earlier.

im liking the game less and less with these crappy major branches
so, in book 3 you either get the shitty ending and you get to keep the 2 new members of the harem or get the good ending and lose them
also, leyala is quickly becoming one of those liberal college white chicks with 0 accountability
