What they said. All of the main LIs also have Side Paths planned. It's a "Side Path" only because it's an optional path not part of the main story.

The team routinely posts updates on Patreon and clearly are still hard at work. They even have a second team now working on a separate spinoff game. It's extremely unlikely for it to be abandoned, in my opinion.
Did you ever get this working on your Mac? Even trying to launch it from Renpy directly continues to fail for me. I keep getting an exception error about the object "Realm".
