Yeah, honestly it would be cool if he remade some of his older games. Captured by dark elves with the art and production values of shadow over blackmore would be amazing.

They usually stop producing games at all.

From what I can tell, that usually happens when devs decide to redo the game mid development. They decide to take things in a new direction, realize the amount of work actually required, get overwhelmed and drop development altogether.
This is a different scenario of remaking a game that is already finished.
But in the end we will see what darktoz decides to do after finishing blackmore.
