Overview:
Our game is inspired by the works of E. A. Poe, H. P. Lovecraft (duh!) and the cult classic adult horror visual novel Divi Dead.
Our story starts in 1985 (Doc!). The main protagonist is a young man that starting his life as a student along with his two best friends, at the prestigious Willowtown University situated on the island.
It's also a sort of homecoming for our hero, who left the island as a child with his mother, but doesn't really remember anything from that part of his younger life.
Troubled with his nightmares and finding himself surrounded by sinister forces, what will happen to him and his friends all depends on your choices.

Just looking at those preview pictures, it doesn't look anything like it is set in 1985. Everything looks modern, from hair to clothes and the environment. Even the dialogue uses modern lingo, yet they talk about things like they are pretending it is 1985. Doesn't feel natural at all.

And as others have mentioned, that intro is way too long and annoying since you can't skip it. That just instantly turns anyone off from trying your game. No one wants to sit through that. Make it skippable at least. Even your outro is long and forced. Can't skip that either.

Overall, not a good experience.

Nothing screams 1985 at all. Everything is modern. The dialogue feels like a bad b-movie of people pretending to be in 1985, by talking about things in that era. The long intro and outro that you can't skip is just an instant turn off. Everything is just rushed along and girls just throw themselves at the MC. Like literally. A waitress walks to you and leaps into your arms and then tells you to meet her in the bathroom. So yeah, literally throwing herself at you.

Sorry, but it just wasn't good. Definitely needs a lot of work to match the setting you're trying to show. Either way, best of luck with this and thanks.

That was... really fast. Hi, all, I'm one-half of this developing team. My friend and the other half of our team, DeVNCraft, can give you technical answers - or fix those loading/closing screens. I'm using CTRL to skip through them because I saw them thousands times.

Will I be able to meet Azathoth?
The game is inspired by HPL works but we're not using any of the actual lore - despite the fact that we could because it passed more than 80 years so his work is public-free.

You'll find the atmosphere, our lore and some names reminiscent of Lovecraft's characters, though.

...thx for the sahre.....good luck to the dev....

..based....and scuffed translation pilled.....

I was so close to naming the MC Ranmaru Hibikiya - but that would be too much.

Ummm... And what is the difference between grass in the 1980s and today? Or pavement? Streets? Clothes?
Unless you can tell me what exactly is so "not-1980s", I can't give you an answer. And I know very well how the 1980s were.

Yeah... Sorry about that, but my friend will fix that.

Again - what is that "modern" thing that wasn't there in the 1980s?
And, believe me, EVERYTHING that happens in the game has a clear explanation in the story. Of course, not all mysteries will be revealed at the start - not even why the waitress did what she did.

I respect your opinion although you didn't answer my questions. Thank you for your good wishes, appreciate that. (y)
