Putting something behind a permanent paywall is against what the Guru's said is acceptable to do. So enjoy having your shit leaked if you do that. I don't mind leaking it~

Maybe one should write to patreon and other sites that allow them to put stuff (and keep it there) behind a paywall and let them know, that a lot of people are breaking TOS/TOU (or whatever you want to call it)? But then again, they might stop making anything at all...?

Let's be honest, not a single person who leaks here has waited for the cc creators with patreons to break EA's rules before we leak their shit, E404 JUST started her patreon and hasn't even had time to break EA's rules so let's not stand on our high horses and act like a bunch of robin hoods stickin' it to 'em for that reason. I leak because I was a college student before I became a nurse and couldn't afford all the CC I was seeing behind paywalls and it fucked me off that creators would post a really nice set and then leave it as a surprise when you click the link to find out it's a "patreon exclusive" I honestly pity those who weren't around before all this stupid patreon fuckery started in this community, back when creators would make shit because it's what they enjoyed doing, now you've got sods all over tumblr defending this shit like it's standard fair. Leak your shit fine, but don't be a pompous ass about it, yea?

I remember when TSR had paid content and Simslice had paid content and how pissed off it made people. Especially since the majority of Simmers at the time were young and relied on parents to fund The Sims. Like me haha. And you still had the content creators defending it. Hard for them to see how wrong it is through rose colored glasses (or even care) and you get money for taking assets from a game and charging for your creation.

I believe some people weren't referring to E404P in specific.
Also it sounds like she is locking some animations, it's kind of unclear.
But of course leaks happen mainly because somebody wants them to.
In some cases creators heavily break EA's rules as well as LL rules but LL moderators certainly don't care.
In other cases, they don't break anything but leaks happen because people want the stuff. That's obvious

I agree with you fully. Don't get me wrong. But if you look to the modding community within Skyrim and Fallout, I don't see many putting their mods behind a paywall. You can choose to give a donation to a creator, but that is a totally different ballpark. I have used Nexus for a very long time and only once have I felt that I needed to donate, out of pure willingness. Hiding mods permanently behind paywalls is a dick move, if it is for a game you did not make your self. Once Nudica (other game, which can be found here too) is a bit further in its development, I will go and subscribe to it on SubscribeStar. Same goes for Yiffalicous 2 (if they get a page on SubscribeStar also AND if they ever get further than the character creator). Heck, even a game like Subverse, which is still being crowdfunded on Kickstarter is a game I choose to support with my coin.
--EDIT: Fair enough, if they keep their cc behind a paywall for a full month (think it is 14 days or so now , that is the limit?), so folk who wants their stuff early can get it, but then it should be have to be made public.
Weren't folks up here just suggesting that E404P get a Patreon? And now that they HAVE a Patreon, their stuff has already been leaked? LMAO I mean damn. I downloaded it though smh hey I guess it's the circle of life huh?!

No, dude, I'm not trying to be a dick about it lol! But I just feel like its a trend now a days for everyone in sim community to have a Patreon and it's not fair. And lets be completely honest here, some people have shit this NOT worth the amount of money they want you to pledge for to have their content. I'm sorry if I came off too strong. I get kind of passionate sometimes lol!

Yes, I'll raise my hand on that one but I don't have anything agains't her personally but and I know she just started but I choosing to leak her just in case she does keep some of her stuff on Pateron and not release it to the public. Only time will tell and like others been saying, we don't know how she's going to work.

Not a single person is a strong statement, maybe you don't know this community since the beginning, maybe you don't know how the Rebel team operates, or you're just letting yourself getting carried away, but i would rethink that phrase.
We don't have it yet, but if it doesn't show up today for the updates tomorrow. We will more than likely have it for next Friday's updates.

Okay, let's clear the things up a bit.
She locks her stuff behind a paywall but she has no right to do that in the first place, she's not from EA, she doesn't own any rights about the game and its ressources.
EA tolerates that, okay, but that also means we're free as patreons of these pages (i'm not talking about E404 in particular) to share it for free, to flame these creators and to say whatever we want about it, especially here on a pirate forum.
For E404 now, from what i understood, she'll not just do an early access system, which is tolerated, she'll litteraly do patreon exclusives, and that means breaking the rules. She breaks the rules ? Then, no consciousness problem with the fact of leaking her stuff. And even if she doesn't, people are free to leak it anyway.
Yeah... okay.
So if i follow your way of thinking, i could turn that into :
"hey, gimme the paywall stuff for free but please shut the fuck up, you're basterds", isn't it ? Or maybe i misunderstood ?
She could have opened a patreon page without locking the stuff on it, i'm sure some people would have pledged anyway to thank her for her work or to encourage her (you'll notice that it's how a lot of porn games works here on f95zone as the developers themselves come to the threads of their game to discuss with the people who are leaking it).
