That was my understanding as well. That, like dmca.gripe, its almost impossible to get rid of them by issuing dmca and copyright takedowns. Maybe they really are just down for an incredible and hefty maintenance.

Be specific: Is it a CC bed/sofa or a in-game bed/sofa?
If its a CC one, it's probably broken and needs to be patched by the creator.
