I normally don't leave any sort of comments but I really wanted to say I've been enjoying your game so far and the path that it is taking! I enjoy games like this that offer freedom of choice, like College Daze, and am looking forward to whatever you have planned for this in the future. Keep it up! I know I'll be playing every update as at least 1 loyal player.
You're supposed to use a spell to get past it. Too bad you were born a muggle!
What stat checks do you need to confront Ethera? Even hitting 55 dominance I still can't unlock the other option.

Hi thank you very much. I am grateful for your comment and happy that you are enjoying the game thus far. Providing the player numerous choices that would impact their experience was a primary focus for me. I have seven planned endings, so its a core mechanic.
Hi do you mean "A cold certainty settles in your gut. The other path is closed to you. You simply lack the necessary... aptitude." under the Confront Ethera option? Or do you mean that you can't click it?
If it is the text then the simple answer is that text like that shows up when either your skills aren't up to par or you missed something along the way, that is needed to unlock that special option. In the passage "The Final Days: Sovereignty" if you get the text here it means that you have missed something to unlock the other path. Hope that clears it up.

This game is quite enjoyable, and has amazing potential. Could become a top game in its genre.

Nope not abandoned, I'm still working on chapter 4. It is taking a bit of a time since I have implemented some optional minigames for the exams (so had to learn to do that, since this is my first ever game and I started this journey with 0 knowledge), plus sometimes it takes a while to write all the text in the game
. Even with a clear outline on what is supposed to happen in every chapter it can be hard to get it right on the pages. Finally the sad part this is just a hobby for me, I don't even have a patreon or subscribestar so sadly sometimes even though I want to work on the game it can't be my main priority when you know life happens.In short though I'm hoping to get out the next chapter within a couple of weeks. And I'm grateful for everyone who has taken an interest in the game so far

Save Compatibility
Some systems/flags were reworked in this update. Old saves may behave oddly.
Recommended: start a new run for this build to ensure all branches and checks fire correctly.

I would love to hear what route most people play and who your favorite characters are so far. But also thanks for playing the game.
- "From Exams to Aftermath" This takes the player through the exams, a big event and how it changes the status quo.
- Introducing some new and "old" characters That means some characters that were already in the game but locked on some specific paths are now available for players from every different path if the player so chooses.
- Short simple stat-based mini-games for players with lower stats during the exam.
- Updated old images and added more I yet again changed some of the older images you will notice pretty quickly if you start up a new game at least some of them.
Art expansion: added around 150 more images and gifs so the total is now over 500
Save Compatibility

Tips
As previously mentioned
- Try repeat runs. To see the different outcomes.
- Pay attention to small checks and choices. They unlock scenes you will not see otherwise.
- Also you have different outcomes in the houses depending on how close you are to the House leader.
- If you see a line like "A cold certainty settles in your gut. The other path is closed to you. You simply lack the necessary... aptitude." in a red box, that can mean that you are either missing the necessary stats, but it can also mean that you missed something along the way for that specific choice.

A nice quality of life would be to choose your name before your starting trait. At the moment, when you restart you need to put your name back in manually if you want a different bonus.
Is any way to "beat" Ethera? so far i can only have Confront Ethera in the finals days: sovereignty and that leads to lose a lot of stats.

. Would love to hear what you specifically like so far.That is a fair question, and something I will absolutely think about going forward. I'm not saying I will just add it for the sake of adding it, but if I'm making a scene where it could fit then that's something that might happen.

Yes, you can exit that encounter gaining stats instead of losing them. A small hint "The "Red Box": If you see the "Path Closed / Missing Aptitude" text in a red box, it does not necessarily mean your stats are too low. It often means you missed a specific story trigger or item earlier in the run. Hope that helps

The only thing I could suggest is allowing us to interact with professors from different houses more, perhaps if we impress them somehow, such as during the big exam. Additionally, we could allow further branching out to different house interactions, similar to the ending, more frequently. Besides that, I love the images/gifs you chose!
