I am pretty sure the creator will be replacing art like this later on because they have mentioned before that some art will be placeholders until they get actual art drawn..... if they don't I will be as disappointed lol. They already added new art with Kate, Sarah and the Pirate when they left Rosanna in the update, and I am pretty sure they also added art with two gay mercenary guys when you peek at them the first time. (I have done every route in the game so I have a crap ton of save points to see what has been changed).

And then there are people complaining about the current art of the game and calling it AI garbage, when before the game gave us art gems like this one.
Now that hes changing art saying "I want to keep art consistent" is a load of bs.
Its different now but backwards, its consistent as in having multiple cheap bad artists.
I bought this game with great art and now i got scammed with shitty art

Too bad you're not happy with the actual art. I actually prefer the consistency of the art in this type of story, unless it's an anthology, but I think what's really important is the writing and the plot in this game, since it's done as if it were a short story, as long as the illustrations work to help the narrative it's fine.
I think hes trying to play a saint of supporting the lower tier artists.
Dude cant make up his mind and keeps saying "it'll never get finished" and stuff.
Im surprised he still has some income left to keep putting this garbage out

I don't know how I feel about this art style being changed. Sarah just looks bland now with less detail on herself and the others. The older art had way more detail to it with the shadings of her hair, the blemishes from everything to her top to feet. I'm assuming it changed to allow for quicker updates to the game? I feel like this game has lost its quality over quantity aspect.
Now I'm not claiming to be a professional in art styles, but from my consumer point of view, it just looks boring, less personality and just outright lazy. I'm not criticizing the game, in fact I really love this game and want to see it work its way up to completion. It just hurts that developers from time to time have to make detrimental sacrifices towards the game and the people will just have to deal with it.
I'd rather have to wait for months or even a year for something special, than faster updates with less quality.

While I prefer the "original style" the thing that kills it (as of now) is the near constant shifting from one to the other and back again. If you count the parts with just 2 character sprites on screen there are times when it literally changes line by line (the part where you decide to stay with mercs).

Same. I hate the character, but in a good way. I definitely feel his path is the most overlooked while ironically being the closest to a princess simulator type of story. There's so much you could do weaving between the lines of pleasing your husband, doing what's best for the kingdom, and doing what's best for yourself. The route has everything you would need to be a whole game all on its own.
The warrior path is okay, but I don't think it fits nearly as well as the mage path for a princess-type character. It's kind of just there to be there.

It depends on each person, I love it above all paths, if you like leading troops, using swords, lesbian romances and killing people with your sword, it is highly recommended. Although there is also a romance with an orc and a forest ranger.
If I had to rank each path I would put the warrior first, the princess second, and the mage third.
It has some boring longer parts that made me lose interest and start skimming the text until something big happened. If you like the game's writing style you might enjoy it but if you're there for sex or dynamic story it's not the best path for that kind of content.
