You don't need it for the side story....

No, don't use it, or install the incest patch.

Just play the side story from main menu without installing the incest patch, Amber is the escort anyway....

She's not related to the MC in any way, shape or form.

If you are getting errors don't use the incest patch if you are, it's not needed since Amber is the escort and you play the side-story from the main menu.

The other side story is with the boss.

The side-stories are NTR and do not involve the MC at all.

He does main story then side story, he's said that from the start that is this way the release schedule would work.

Yes, we want the main story to progress as well, but the dev has decided to release it this way. Plus it's a way for him to rewards his Patreons and his other subscribers.

For what? It has one built in, it shows you NTR path and non-NTR path when you pick a choice, those are the only paths.
