I think this game revolves around how the author really doesn't understand who the MC of the story is. Rather they write it (or wrote it as of episode 3 when I last played) as a female MC type story, revolving around the 'landlady' and 'landlady sister' instead of the supposed MC, of the young guy.
The young guy has some defect we can assume, because only someone with a defect would act, or not act, as he does. He build a AI that can basically make money out of nothing just by looking at trends. However, instead of telling the 'landlady' as a way to make their lives easier, and to show that he is able to make things on his own as a sense of achievement and maturity he instead he keeps it quiet and things happen due to this like the landlady selling her body for a sale. All items that could be avoided.
The 'landlady' basically sells herself to make money, although she doesn't have to, but that's basically where all the 'sexy scenes' are in the game both form her and her sister. Essentially the story is written as a NTR story, which is fine, but the dev is trying to bring in others who may not cater to that fetish, but they still leave most of the story on the floor unless someone goes along with how the story is really leaning.
The story as-is, is trying to act like it's appealing to multiple audiences when all the content is focused on one fetish in general, the NTR aspect. Honestly, a re-do of the game as a female MC game would probably be closer to the story the dev has told, again through episode 3 or episode 4, as well as the side-stories. Not sure if the dev has a real clue who their MC is, other than significantly slanting the story toward a specific fetish/genre with how they have configured who is supposedly telling the narrative vs the true focus of the story.
The game hasn't changed significantly from it's poor start. The dev heavy-handedly forcing things to go a specific direction even when they write in other potential paths that are completely ignored, but could flesh out their story and allow players more actual freedom in picking alternate pathways to progress.
