Don't worry about previous quests. They are safe, but keep this backup just in case if this cheat interferes with something in the future. This is not likely to happen, but keep it anyway.

By setting jobday = <your current game day> + 1 you will be able to "Ask (Shady guy for) an advise about the car" and on the next day you will be able to continue any other pending tasks from Shady guy you may have.

But this content is from 0.04 and you said that you are on 0.14 and because Shady guy quest line is still very buggy I decided that you have encounter a bug. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

Safe cheats are:

1. money
2. energy

Semi-safe cheats are:

1. relation score - restore only that amount that you lost because of bad luck or stupid decision
   
2. gently/rough score - don't change it until you get ±1 legitimately, also keep it inside the legit boundaries. They are different for each woman.
3. consumables (condoms, lube, sleeping pills, suncream, drugX, etc.) - replenish them only after once you get them legitimately.
