I don't think it's actually abandoned. The dev just hasn't said anything in a long time which for him is not uncommon.

I think you are comparing apples with oranges.
If a man is in a monogamous relationship and his wife has a romantic affair with another woman, that might be bad. But I agree with Grand_Wizard that it probably much less bad than if she were to have an affair with another man.
If a man is in a relationship with multiple women at the same time and the women have a bit of fun with each other, then it's something completely different. Personally I don't see what anyone can have against that.
If a woman is not in a relationship but wants to have fun with another woman, then who cares?

The update was supposedly done more than a year ago. Coding doesn't take a year, no matter how slow you are. I know you are eagerly defending the dev, but honestly just let it go. This dev is a liar, don't expect anything from him.Yeah idk. Not feeling the dev anymore

when you have a newborn baby everything non-critical takes forever. family comes first and a game you create as a hobby might slow down a lot as it obviously is not critical to you
when my wife got pregnant and we had kids i quit my job and retired to be able to spend as much time as possible with them. i regret nothing
i dont "expect" anything, i just hope the best as we all love this game
"defending" seems too much, i rather try to state the obvious and try not to be a defeatist
