Sadly, the mod doesn't work directly with Android. I don't really know about porting the mod onto a mobile devices, so I don't have a fix for you I'm afraid.

No reason to be sorry for that. Rather, I'm sorry you're having troubles with it. I have seen some errors like this before, where it can't locate files like that. I'll share some of the things that fixed those ones. Helpfully one of them will help, but there is a chance you're not experiencing the same issues.

After the initial issue with finding the 'game' folder, I reviewed the thread and found some earlier posts that also had that problem on Mac. There was a screenshot there that confirmed the pathway and file structure you should have when everything is installed correctly. It was a little out of date as it was the old install method, but I can use that to post the correct one below. You can use it to make sure things match up on your end. These will be key folders, there will be other files of course in these folders.

        • SAZMOD - The full folder copied over from the mod download on the OP
          • edited
          • music
          • scripts - This folder should be deleted and replaced with the full 'scripts' folder from the HotFixv03 download on the OP

So where issues have come up before has been when users have accidently copied the 'edited', 'music', and 'scripts' folders from inside the 'SAZMOD' folder and placed them directly inside the 'game' folder. Depending on how the original game is installed it will either overwrite existing files, or just add them in the wrong place.

If something like that has happened, usually the easiest way to fix it, with to start with a fresh install and try again. Sometimes you need to place The Tyrant's main game folder in a new location, but that is more rare of an issue that I've only had users repost a couple times.

If none of this seems to help, or you get a different issue, please post again and let us know, or if it does work, let us know that too. It would be good to know what the issue was as it might help someone else in the future.

If you do need to post an error again, it might be helpful to post the full traceback text file or the full text in a spoiler tag, so we can see the whole error. There might be something in the full error report that helps shed some light on the issue.

im not sure what to classify this as bug or glitch i dunno....bruce and davide are both dead...im pimping the girls out...making drug deliveries and hanging out at 10pm in the basement with all the options repeat scenes,etc
all the while NOT having the "gang member tag" can we say wtf?


UPDATE: so ive started a new game (NTR DARK PATH REVENGE)skip time until 6 or 7 pm when having meal and you tell your dad you wanna join the gang
THEN skip time to 3pm and meet a chick and name her skip time to 8pm accepted then went to living room 9pm and picked up quest to hand in the 2 packages
NOW for what ever reason under the phone doesnt say anything (SHOULD SAY hand in 2 packages some shit like that )BUT it doesnt
ive gone all the way through did Nicole sick quest and got the key to basement did all the shit and next day UNDER PHONE SHOULD SAY gang member but it doesnt...ive restarted several times trying to see where i went wrong as this hasnt happened to me before so glitch or bug or what?

im gonna try something different...been thinking about it for a while...i use Linux and run wine for games and discovered that although renpy games sit in download folder ...some reason Linux makes a 2nd save file so long story short im gonna delete all the saves from BOTH folders and try a fresh game again and see what happens...wish there was a way to kill auto saves i got a fair amount here from a couple days game play got like 14 autos LOL

That's good to hear! I'm glad you were able to figure it out. That help system (the help option in the phone) still hasn't been fully updated with the mod events. It does have the core game events in it and when you click on the red box icon that says "What's in the box?!?" when you are hovered over it, it will show you a basic in-game guide where you can see how to access most of the mod events, at least in general terms.

I still want to do some work in that area. But anyway, if you want to deactivate the help system you can click on the deactivate button in any of the character's sub menus in the help system in the upper right hand side of their menu. Which you probably already knew about, but just in case.

It worked!! Thank you for your patience and everything. Idk why it worked this time and not last time, because I'm p sure I did everything the same. Regardless, thanks. One more SMALL question, and tbh i don't really care that much because I'm just ecstatic I can finally play this game. But the text sometimes gets cut off at the bottom, and adjusting the size of the screen doesn't do anything. Is there a way to format the screen to fit better? If not, it's no biggie

funny thing about Linux although ive used it for many years to this very day im still learning new things with it
in someways i should be greatful that i ran into the complications i was having with the game,etc because if it wasnt for that
id likely of never discovered the OTHER saved location and files that were being stored...not only did i fix the game BUT i got a shit ton of free space back couldnt get over how many game saves i had stored in there LOL seems im a bit of an addict

I'm glad it's working now. In regards to the text size, I haven't noticed any text being cut off like that but it's possible I made some of the recently edited dialogue lines too long for the text size to accommodate it. I'll keep an eye out for that and try to fix those if I see them.

In the meantime you can manually adjust the text size if you wish by editing the gui.rpy file in the 'SAZMOD' > 'scripts' > 'core' folder. You can use a basic text editor to do so.

You're going to be looking for this line:

define gui.text_size =

It will have a number at the end. I would recommend making a backup copy of gui.rpy and saving it outside of The Tryant folder just in case you need to go back to the original version of the mod's gui.rpy file again.

Now with The Tyrant game shut down, you can change that number at the end of that line. The lower the number the smaller the font size and the more room for the words on the screen. So you can adjust it to your preference. You just need to remember to delete the gui.rpyc file as that will contain the old value and RenPy needs to reconpile that file when you start up The Tyrant the next time to adjust the text size to your new setting.

Sorry I don't know of an easier way to fix it while the game is going. That setting is set at the start of the game session, so there is not an easy way to adjust once the game has started, at least that I know of.

looking for any Linux users that may help me with solving some issues...i never use the .sh files to play games
i always just open with wine and play the exe files....i run my games right out of the download folder and normally when i save games it saves to the saved games with in games download folder (prime example /home/Dave/Downloads/TheTyrant-0.9.1-pc/game/saves/)BUT recently ive discovered that apparently ALL my games get saved to yet another folder leaving me with duplicate saves.../home/Dave/.wine/drive_c/users/Dave/Application Data/RenPy/
once i delete games from the download "saves" they are gone and dont return HOW EVER not so with the OTHER folder

when i delete game saves from the wine folder not long after they all return back and for the life of me i dont understand why
they keep on returning how to stop this?is there yet ANOTHER folder i havent discovered yet?anyone else experience this issue?

If you are talking about the 8am Living Room events, those change based what outfit she is wearing, as well as the MC's Love and Corruption points. Not all clothing options had a sex option in the available assets, so that's why it's there with some outfits as an option, but not in others.

I added back a scene that had some assets in game still where you can meet Kate in the gym after meeting her in the Club. But it isn't a lewd scene.

I also added a way to get a job from Vivian as an option to earn money. I'd later like to build on that to add custom lewd scenes featuring Vivian, but that hasn't happened yet.

Susan is featured solely as a side character in a few scene with Nicole, in the Tanning Salon and later in the Subway NTR event.

There are no current lewd scenes with Kate, Vivian or Susan directly. But Vivian does witness you during Nicole's City Trip event.

It doesn't ever require more than 150 Love or Corruption points to fully unlock all the options in a scene where Love or Corruption points matter. In most cases, it doesn't require more than 100 Love or Corruption points at maximum.
I think there may only be one scene which was cranked up to the 150 point limit, but I'll have to wait until I'm back home to check.

In regards to showing Alexis different fetish porn options, viewing Anal porn 4 times unlocks an extra sex option during the 4am Alexis basement event. And viewing Lesbian porn 4 times unlocks the encounter with Alexis and Irina in the MC's room if you choose to show Alexis Lesbian porn again. Which that can lead to more events between Alexis and Irina as well as an NTR event.

Showing her the other porn options can unlock minor variations in dialogue in some scenes with Alexis, but only those 2 options I mentioned previously have a major impact on scenes in the game so far.
