There's far too few, providing far too little money each month for it to be milking. Just look at the Graphtreon link further up, from SonsofLiberty's post.
He's done this several times, and his Patreon's basically never provided enough income to be considered viable during each absence.

I swear, I really liked this game and would actually pay for it if the dev didn't disappeared for years and abandoned the thing.
