how to edit/change money ? each time i use an save edit, there is a message saying that this save came from outside and it can't load
My method is to unlock the console with Notepad.
1) go to the game files and open Renpy>Common then scroll down to Console.Rpy
2) open the file in 'Notepad' or a similar program
3) search for 'config.console' or scroll until you find that line. It should read config.console = False
4) change ONLY the False to True. Make sure the T is capitalized
5) Save and close the file
6) Start game and as you are playing press shift+O. Make sure you HOLD the shift key as you press the O (this is letter o NOT number 0).
7) This will open the console, and you can enter cheats.
8) It is recommended that you increase whatever you are trying to change before you do this. So, for example you should earn some money by working before you change anything with the console. Sometimes there can be issues if you don't have the change (earning money) happen in the game before you alter it in the console.
For this game you can change the money your character has by entering:
money=x (x=the amount you want the MC to have) or money+x (x=the amount of money you want to add)
Different games can use different words like cash or gold or something else. I recommend the first time you open the console to type:
1) long
2) dir()
This will allow you to see MANY options. I am not always able to find things like money or energy or whatever, but it is a starting place.
WARNING: Some Devs will set limits on what you can do and adding to much money can sometimes cause problems so be careful and don't get greedy.
