Not particularly dark.

There is a 3-person (more are hinted at) gang. Their criminal activity is limited selling a specific designer drug (female aphrodisiac), possible prostitution, and thieving is hinted at.
Modern setting. Not particularly illogical.
Very limited violence so far. A possible suicide is the worst.

I would treat is as "On hold". Permanently. There is an info from developer from time to time, and the last one was stating there definitely should be an update by the end of the Feb. I personally treat such promises with a significant amount of skepticism, thus avoiding frustration and just will enjoy if (when) update will show up. Meanwhile there are a lot of other fap content.
