How to gain exp? Winning battles doesn't increase it, having sex doesn't increase it.. only some invisible stat called "Affinity".
In this game, characters don’t level up in the traditional way. Like in Fear & Hunger, progression comes from items, choices, and affinity rather than EXP. This is intentional, to keep the focus on survival and decision-making.

In upcoming updates, missions will grant special abilities to further expand progression. Not all planned enemies have been implemented yet, which is why the combat system may feel incomplete for now. As the project grows, these features will be added to make the experience deeper and more challenging

That’s the general vision for the game, but gameplay may be adjusted based on the feedback gathered through the Discord surveys. I want to make sure the project evolves with the community’s input.

It just feels useless to have battles, which is pretty hard in the beginning, and not get any exp from it, while Status clearly show a leveling up system/intention.
The Affinity status can't be seen so players have absolutely zero idea of how high or low it is, unless they have photographic memory on each point they gain from each NPC..
Some early missions are badly bugged..
Rescue woman from bandit leader.. fair enough it can be repeated for 49-50 gold until you can afford armor and weapons that can actually defeat him, which takes hours btw.. but after you defeat him, you have to battle him again, with the woman in party and ods are the bandit kills her, however she can still talk and walk but mission won't complete.
I managed with saving before battle and redo, redo, redo and redo until she was not killed (had to feed her potions when she got hit) then her dad paid for her return by a larger than 50 gold reward.
That battle repeats btw, every time ya come close to her, or the bandit leader, which at that point shows to be defeated on the ground?

Erydis, saved her, but she remains in party.. got mission from Sibrenne to got to the forrest for some flower.. and what ya know... now ya can rescue Erydis once more even as she is in the party..

Oh and when making fish soup, you get vegtable soup.. which doesn't recover much health/hunger ;)

That's as far as I've come so far..

Thanks for your feedback. Even if it may look like there isn’t much to do yet, missions often have variations that can cause unexpected bugs. What I really need is for players like you to let me know when these issues happen. I’m sorry if your experience was affected, but rest assured I’ll work on fixing it.

Ok so, really now, how am I supposed to grade this game when there's no indication of what to do?
Even in the beginning I'd just run around aimlessly trying to find anything of note, only to eventually reach the small town to the east/right.
Then l'm told to get money l need to bring goblin ears to the guard. God forbid you try to sell the water you get from the cave, or the vegetables from the forest. No you specifically need to get the ears. But here's the thing though.
Goblins are way too hard for the beginning. So basically l need money in order to get stronger so l can kill goblin and get money. But l have no money, and no way of making money.
Am l missing something or is this game completely unplayable?

There is a long grind for money early on with the first and only mission on the board, same place you sell goblin ears, the board in the lower part of the room, not the upper, that mission can be done over and over..
Accept to rescue the woman, you get transported instantly to the camp, for some reason you insta win the camp guard fight and can walk up to the building where the woman and the bandit leader is.. The bandit leader offers 50 gold to forget the mission, if you accept, you can repeat it, if not.. you die because your equipment can't damage him, or take much blows from him.
In any case, you can grind 49-50 gold repeatiatly this way until you can afford the better gear.

But yeah, hunting goblins in the beginning can be very tough, not the best balanced starting out thing in my book either ;)
If you do it in the forest, you run into packs of bandits as well, way tougher than goblins, so your stuck with walking up and down the main road hoping to find goblins busy with raping women.

There are burried gold here and there btw, but you need to buy a showel dig it up.

A total different issue.. you can buy a clock, but only see what time and day it is on it, when installed in your cave.. so ya have to travel back to the cave to know what time and day it is :p

I like the ideas, but its far too vague and tedious so far. The game needs to give the player some indication about what they're supposed to be doing next as a main quest, and then the side aspects become fun things to find. But there's almost no guidance, its extremely difficult, and so far it seems like it can be all grind and no reward at all.

Thanks for your comment! The difficulty is still being balanced, so I understand it can feel tough at the start. But actually, you can sell the vegetables from the forest to earn money, it’s not limited only to goblin ears. I’ll keep working on improving the balance so progression feels smoother.

Thanks for your feedback. The idea so far is that players discover the world on their own, without too much guidance. However, I can see that for many people the difficulty feels too high, so I’ll work on addressing that situation.

Also, at the request of players, a guide was added to explain how to follow the missions, since this is still a pre‑alpha and the main storyline isn’t finished yet. I hope this helps make things clearer while the game continues to grow.

I did absolutely like the info screens that were added at the start, from the previous version. That was really good.
