It's not an actual BSOD, but rather a screen that happens to be blue. It's displayed in the game's window and can be exited. Still contains malware. Me and at least one other person in the thread have been hacked.

I got hacked. I don't know what else to tell you. Could it have been triggered by something else? Maybe. Still got hacked.

This brings up a paradox I'd like to name The Bragging Malware Paradox (if a name for it doesn't exists already)

If malware is advanced enough to silently access your system, why would it announce itself with a fake blue screen and ruin the stealth?

This is an indication that the purpose of it is not to steal data undetected but to deter users.

Okay, I assumed it actually caused a physical lockout of the system. Which is why I was arguing earlier with the other guy that it's malware. In this case - then, it's not malware... It's just a fakeout.

I mean, you're suggesting that it's a fake BSOD - which, is true. There is no phone home here, since it's been shown to be a fake BSOD and fake sending. If it's fake, then the hack was not from Znel. If the hacking of your account is not from Znel then it has absolutely zero relevance to this discussion and you're using it only as a tactic to scaremonger.

So which is it? Are you saying you got hacked because of the fake Kemono screen? Or are you scaremongering? Or are you arguing a third point that the fake Kemono malware is actually real but pretending to be fake?... What is your argument here?

As I said, I had originally believed it to be Malware based solely on it locking out the system. I was not convinced that it was genuinely taking data or transmitting since the IP was Kemono.

Quit scaremongering. You got hacked because you were not careful. Not because of this game.



And if someone did purchase Nitro on your linked card, then you should be filing a chargeback through your bank. Contacting Discord to report fraud and then filing a police report to ensure it's at least recorded in a system somewhere. At least that's what people do here, I don't know where you're based but, that's pretty much the standard where I live.

The problem with this argument is that the malware, if it is accessing these files, isn't bragging, it's committing a false flag. People in this very thread have come here thinking this was a hack perpetrated by Kemono. If this narrative hadn't fallen through so easily, actually following through would serve to cultivate more distrust and fear in Kemono.

As for the VM idea, I had already the same idea but I'm struggling to find the exact build people are referring to - I've got a VM ready to go, and once I grab a copy I'm gonna poke about too. See what's up.

There's a functioning link on Kemono right now. Considering that's how this was being delivered before, it's a solid lead. Then again, chances are he knows we're talking about this by now, so it might be a clean file now. But if you do this, make sure you make efforts to hide your identity, as the links all go through his site.

Nuh uh, hold up there. You have no proof that there's not actually any malicious activities going on here until you actually manage to run an infected version in a primed VM (IE with fake data to actually be stolen) and log what happens. Until then, talking like this is just harmless scareware could be dangerous, especially when two users have reported similar hacks with this game being the common factor.

From Frognaf's post, it sounds like the purchases were made through their account. In this case, filing for a chargeback will most likely get their account instantly and permanently banned, while going through Discord would most likely get the charges refunded anyway. I've dealt with Discord's fraud support before, and they're surprisingly thorough, but my case was admittedly quite different. Also, yes, police report now.

You're not understanding me. I was saying that, because of the attempt to frame another entity, there's no such Paradox here. The purpose isn't to scare people away from pirating this game, it's to sew distrust in Kemono. If you successfully put the blame on someone else, then actually, factually causing harm is more effective than just scaring them.

Imagine it like this, if I were to disguise myself as you in an attempt to get you arrested, what would be better at doing this job, telling someone I was going to beat them, or actually beating them?

The problem is, it's not actually any type of specific website injector, that's just a scare to point the blame at Kemono. All that seems to really happen is that, when he spots the link on Kemono, he replaces the file with a malicious version and puts a new link on Patreon. Any dumbass could manage that.
