This months update is coming more or less on time

and it is a bit of a clean up. My plans for this one were changed a bit by your feedback. Last months update did some GPU optimization that as it turns out wasn't enough so this months original plans took a back seat to some serious focus on optimization and fixing.
The biggest part of this update is implementation of upscaling systems. From this 1.07 update the game has DLSS4, FSR3 and XESS2 support which should cover most of your hardware. So please make sure to go into video settings and pick your desired upscaling quality level before playing it. There are 5 quality levels available (Ultra quality, Quality, Balanced, Performance and Ultra performance). Depending on your GPU the system will automatically select the best available upscaling algorithm and upscaling quality level of it will be set according to your selection.
Apart from that there was some major CPU optimization done on the collision system, particle systems and fluid simulation. Some parts of the code had to be redone but the new approach made everything run much smoother.
With these two things The Way alpha 1.07 runs with 40-70% more FPS on our test machines compared to the previous version. And that is without looking any worse than before, on lower end machines it looks a lot better. Please let me know how it is doing on your configuration.
And this is not all. Some of the biggest issues are fixed in this one.
The notorious few steps after climbing should not happen any more. This was the worst bug judging by your comments and it was surprisingly hard to squash but it is done. Sliding system has also been tuned up significantly so it should be much more pleasant to climb around the map.
Some issues were also fixed around drinking system and the flask. Few issues with the camera are also fixed. Crawling camera position has been changed with more intuitive crawling direction. Some sound issues were also fixed and waterfalls audio has been made less realistic but much more pleasant. There were some minor graphical issues introduced with last months GPU optimization that are also fixed in this build.
All this will make the game much smoother and much more pleasant experience.
With all that there was really not much time left for the next brick of the needs system but a big part of it is already done so the next update shouldn't take till the end of next month but it will take a couple of weeks.
