First off, many of these (3D) features are unused. Second, these load the PC much more - and on some old laptop which runs renpy smooth, same game but in UE would range from borderline playable to a mild masochism.
Know it firsthand from one game which transferred from UE to renpy and was launched on dell m6800 (16 gigs and 4600m).
It's hard to judge at this point.
From a marketing perspective you are right that RenPy would be a better success and it would run on any calculator, more audience, on the other hand old laptop is your problem.

Plus, another thing is that you are forcing dev to use another programming language, as if it were so easy to suddenly use a different engine.
And if the dev is really planning something big, a more advanced engine is a better choice than a one-purpose crap engine (smooth animations, better performance, mini-games).
Sometimes even the most miserable Koikatsu loops looks better in Unity than RenPy.
Ok. UE si too much and RenPy crap..We can make a compromise..Unity or Godot.
