Ok it's been a while since I had a chance to sit down with this game, but today I had some time since I was asked to sit in on a late meeting and didn't want to get into anything too strenuous.
First there's either a bug or a typo in the changelog. No choices you make affect what path you go down. Elena sells you regardless even if you cooperate immediately.
I guess I don't really care that her character has devolved into a mustache twirling light novel villain instead of a person now, seeing as how we don't even get to know her before she betrays us. I'll play from now on pretending not to know what she was like before.
The Strelok story is a fine but I think you should flesh it out some more to make it a bit more consistent. For example, give some backstory why he was willing to accept the deal in the first place, give a reason for the buyout price is so low (you can buy yourself free in 5 days easily, gameplay wise DO NOT increase the buyout price, the zeta sector has a lot of cool areas that have been in various builds, and restricting players to some tiny portion of it for hours while they work to buy their freedom is not it my friend), and either explain why she's so cordial with her slavers or make her words towards them more hostile as that's her only real method of resisting at this time.
Now for the unpleasant part. The main reasons I stopped following the thread were two fold, but related:
1. Your constant requests for feedback, though admirable in your desire to please your audience, were frustrating because often the answer was "exactly what I said last time" or because of point 2, too numerous to count. It lead to a fatigue when deciding to respond and eventually I unwatched the thread for my own sanity.
2. You very often seemed to implement extreme amounts of changes based on the feedback of a small number of people. Unfortunately this has left you constantly reworking the opening of the game to please whoever commented last. Now the latest build is marked as a reboot on the first post, so I don't know if this is still happening, but since Daz3d models shouldn't really require a new story, I'm betting this is still happening.
Again as stated above it is good you want to respect your audience, but I think you need to sit down and decide some broad strokes for the game/story that just won't change. Ask for feedback on that if you must before you lock it in, but once you do don't let comments sway you from it. I suggest you include the following:
1. MCs backstory
2. Major character backstory and motivations. (Choose an Elena and stick to her)
3. Number of planets in the sector that will be available
4. If those planets are going to be free roam or will you restrict the players to being in one planet at a time, no going back.
I know its comforting to be able to change things as you want, but if you have this stuff down in writing somewhere I think your project will be much more stable.
