This man paid for a software to provide. What a king!
Nah... I'm running a cracked version. 2.6.1

but i absolutely LOVE topaz video AI.

I also support Waifu2x and it is good but it just doesnt compare to Topaz's AI models.

Use Divide_By_Zero post if you have time. It work same like me.
My Video card while still a very capable card... isnt the new generation RTX so Casting call took me 27hrs to upscale in Topaz but the Output is worth it usually.

only took 8 minutes to interpolate in Handbrake.

If i used topaz for the interpolation (Chronus - Fast v3) it would have taken another 34 hrs

As you can guess.. I dont do many long vids. mostly under 2 minutes...

34 hours using Topaz ai?! With my patience level as low as it always is, it's not even worth pirating the software in the first place.
It all depends on your video card... the 3000 series Rtx cards could have done that in probably 4 or 5 hours or less. My older card upscaled the approx 10 min video to 4k @ 12 seconds per frame i think... the interpolation was going to take 17 sec per frame with chronos model so i decided not to proceed and switched to handbrake.

the 3070 for example is capable of rendering the same thing at about 0.5 - 2 seconds per frame depending on complexity and other tasks running

Yeah, I got no idea how to even install this. Rip
gonna dm you with links (not sure if rules permit me to post full links in thread but i can if admin approves)

it is easy

*It only requires 2 things...

1.) Official installer from Topaz site

2.) The cracked "version.dll"

here ya go...

AI upscaled to 4k using Topaz Video enhance AI (Proteus Fine Tune v3)
*Denoised some of the grain effect as the original used a little too much for my taste.
Interpolated to 60fps using Handbrake
Encoded in HEVC x265 Hardware mode NVENC on a GTX 1060.

did you ever upscaled only to 60 fps, like 1080 60 fps? maybe i missed it? my gear can't run 4k, just asking.

Handbrake can't do motion interpolation like Topaz/AviSynth/SVP/DAIN does. When you encode in Handbrake with the framerate setting at 60 all it does is double the amount of frames and gives you a misleading "60.000 FPS" in your media player/windows explorer, it doesn't actually interpolate between frames to create a smoother video.

That's why Handbrake is only taking a few minutes to encode while every other programs that actually do motion interpolation take hours, it's not actually doing anything, you're just re-encoding the same video with the same framerate. Just by comparing your video to the original and you can tell it's still playing at the same 30fps 24fps.

Here's a scene (@7:38) that was interpolated with Topaz at 60fps, you can see how smooth it is in comparison.

TL;DR: Your 60fps video is actually 30fps 24fps.

Can someone share steps how to upscale video from 720p 30fps to 1080p 60FPS and 4k 60FPs using Topaz

For this you can get true AI upscaling and interpolation even though it takes a while.

I would suggest doing this in 3 passes in Topaz Video Enhance AI as you described.

* First ALWAYS do at least 1 "Preview" in "Comparison View" assigning 3 different Models and options BEFORE EACH UPSCALING PROCESS to decide the best model for your particular video (More preview with different Models and/or Settings may be necessary to get best results)

** After every pass you are creating a completely new video for Topaz to use so you need to tune your settings for the new input

you have 2 main ways to do this depending on the speeds you get while processing the frames in different models...

If your "Average Frame Processing Time in Seconds" is on Lower (Faster Processing) in Interpolation Model (Chronus) and higher (Slower Processing) in Upscaling Models (any model except Chronus) then proceed in this order:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

If your "Average Frame Processing Time in Seconds" is on Lower (Faster Processing) in Upscaling Models (any model except Chronus) and higher (Slower Processing) in Interpolation Model (Chronus) then proceed in this order:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

The reason for the difference in order is it will take less time if you do it in right order.

For example:

Upscaling a 30fps video that has 600 frames at 10 seconds per frame would complete in 6000 seconds or 100 minutes
Interpolating with Chronus to 60fps 600 total frames becomes 1200 total frames takes 12 seconds per frame so 14,400 seconds = 240 min
entire process = 340 minutes or 5 hours and 40 minutes

now lets try the opposite :

Chronos to 60fps: 600 total frames becomes 1200 total frames takes 12 seconds per frame so 14,400 seconds = 240 min
upscaling now has more frames to process so 1200 frames at 10 seconds/frame = 12000 seconds = 200minutes
entire process = 440 Minutes or 7 hours and 20 minutes

Correct, my bad. Had it in my head it was 30fps for whatever reason, but the point I was making stands.
Yes we know... and that is fine

It amazes me though that people have to get all condescending and don't realize that even though they may not prefer it someone else may have a reason for doing it. you see there are some benefits to making that adjustment in fps even without processing a full AI Interpolation.

Older computer monitors tend to be running at 60hz so even just adding in more frames that are identical can help when other frame rates cause screen flicker.

I mean you have been registered here for over 5 years and the first post you make isn't providing anything but is negative?

Thanks... I will continue to help where i can and the user's request seemed to me like he was running older hardware so i made a quick and dirty encode to help them out.

If you would like to provide something to the community and run a full AI interpolation and upload here you are absolutely welcome to...

The fact that you already uploading the 4k 60 fps stuff, is more than enough, IMO. Thx for sharing bruv
