Ima say this nicely, you should be happy you're not a content creator. He was getting massive amounts of backlash from his subscribers before he even posted it to twitter. Who's stupid enough to see 2 forms of negative feedback by not only his paying subscribers, but twitter as well and think. "I'ma be fucking stupid and post it anyways despite the massive amount of people telling me not to do it." It [edited] makes sense that he didn't want his work to go complete waste and changed [edited] the character, but you have to be an absolute moron if you see multiple instances of pure hatred of the idea, and think "Yea i'ma do it anyway" especially considering how obsessive Marvel fans can get about representation.

The problem is that now the internet knows we can bully him into compliance. It's moronic not to see that as a potential running problem.

i thought it was accidental, like one of them says "not again" asif the other one who made the meeting cant tell the difference between legit casting calls.. and a basement where they get holes filled.

That's not happening. Or if it does, it's far from happening unless it's a franchise with a massive playerbase. Marvel/Capcom has some die hard fans and they are one of the few fanbases I kind just avoid stepping on their toes. They might be worse then Taylor Swift fans or at least close to that level of obsession. My assumption that he received overwhelming negative comments since the W.I.P was basically deleted and swapped out within hours being posted on Twitter. (Also, on a small note this could have worked very well with marketing himself but that's another topic entirely).

I'm guessing from him saying the render farm is doing it's job that it's not rendered. If you look at some of the previous posts on Patreon you will see some unrendered pics and gifs of the animation. So the animation is finished but it looks very basic and doesn't have sound.
