Not sure why people, esp those involved in R18 content creation, still use patreon even after patreon kicked people off of their service and kept the money for themselves. Just freezing someone's account would be terrible, let alone that.

Subscribestar (& alternatives) aren't perfect obviously but none of the govt middlemen/govt payment processors is worse than patreon. TheCount is extra vulnerable because of the type of content he makes. I just don't get it.

Reach I guess, a lot of subscribers are still too lazy to switch to something requiring anything else than Paypal.

It's mainly because that's where the money is. Many times more people are using Patreon compared to Subscribestar.
