you got it absolutely right. Expectations and standards (renders, animations etc) raised a lot since the past 7 years. So as a dev you either have to deal with small updates, not really worth to publish, but regulary once a month - or you decide as we did: We traded quantity over short-term but awfully small updates.Its also really slow for my tast and i am not really excited till now. But thats just a Mrdots Game thing. It always time some time for the Story to get rolling. Also the update are getting slower I think. I dont remember the other games release take that long per update. But its just my opinion.
Usually we don't do releases where you end in the middle of a scene just because there has been no time to finish that scene.
We know exactly how much and which content we want to deliver per update, and therefore the release is when it's done.
