I played the 0.2 back in the day, figured I'd check it out again.

I was onboard until the whole Lucy shit, fucking despise plots like that as it's just a complete immersion break for me. Shame, game seemed promising.

she is 100% avoidable.
Don't blame us for YOUR choices. You have several chances to turn her down.
We're not in America where you can blame and sue the vendor for selling you hot coffee after you were stupid enough to burn yourself on it

I'm not talking about any scenes with her, I'm talking about that type of specific plotpoint, because her existence is to my knowledge unavoidable.

The issue with this is that if you have a group of individuals that have no qualms killing someone or their family, you don't get away from that alive after seeing their faces, but of course this is a game, so you can't kill the MC which just leaves this feeling like the dumbest fucking plot because it carries no weight and only serves to make the MC look like an idiot.
Out of the probably hundreds of games I've played and probably 10 or 15 with this type of plotpoint, it NEVER works out well and just feel frustrating.

Sorry about your projection there buddy, maybe you can go hug your teddybear and feel better.

well- of course she is there - and she is there for a good reason. But you can avoid any sexual contact. And to be honest, i don't see any reason why there would be an issue with her being in the story at all.

And i don't need to hug my teddy at all to feel good - just saying ;)

Well, as I said, I never once stated anything about sexual content at all, just her existence and how dumb plotpoints like that are. You were arguing against a non-existent point that no one typed.
And arguably, she isn't really there for a good reason, there are a billion other ways for the MC to find the chick who stole the flash drive that doesn't involve getting kidnapped by a gang that apparently has no qualms murdering innocents to keep them off the grid.

It's just dumb overall and as I noted, in every game I've found plotpoints like this, it's just never done anything other than to make the MC seem like an idiot or make the gang seem like incompetent idiots. In this case it was both.

then leave it and go play other games if you don't like it or if you can't bear it - no one cares, to be honest

And if i tell you, that she is there for a good reason, then i KNOW she is there for a good reason (as i know the future story better than you - obviously).
But of course - you, playing the very first chapters, you know exactly about every single character whether he or she is necessary and/or important more than those, who actually know the whole story already. Even more funny, as we just barely went out of the "intro" and general setup.

PS:
I recommend you to play "superman" or something like that - in our game(s) at least MC is NOT perfect and untouchable - sorry if your ego doesn't allow you to play main characters which are not "the best of the best". Iin our games all charcters (MC inclussive) have their flaws - and that will never change.

Brother, I already did, you would probably be clued into that if you read the initial post you responded to - but then again given that you got insulted by something that wasn't even typed, I suppose I'm asking a bit much of you.

Secondly, nobody gives a shit if an MC gets fucked over, what matters is continuity and context. Having a murderous gang become bumbling fucking fools just because they come across the MC is the literal opposite of what you're arguing right now, if anything he should've been atleast fucking shot and ended up in the hospital.
That would've been a FAR better twist on the plotpoint that doesn't feel like it's outright insulting the average intelligence of anyone playing it, but I suppose if the game is aimed towards individuals like yourself then I understand the low bar and Gary Stu-pulling.

Won't reply anymore after this given that you feel personally insulted by things that aren't even written and you start fighting ghosts like you're being paid to do so. It's pretty funny to watch but anything further is just needlessly offtopic.

EDIT- Didn't even see that you're apparently a part of the dev team, things do make sense now.
That being said, if you want to avoid the whole Gary Stu/invincible MC issue that a lot of games apply, this included, having the MC get shot or atleast physically harmed to the point of being hospitalized would've been a much better solution that doesn't just feel shitty. That would also give a convenient excuse to accelerate/deepen the relationships with the girls since they'd do what they can to care for him.

YAYYY

Who says that i feel insulted?

Took you long enough to notice.

And finally:
I don't "defend" anything by the way, i just give hints about what's comming, so people can have their own thoughts.
As i said: No harm done - not everyone likes everything - that's fine. But just leave then and let others enjoy the game in peace. What you call "dumb plotpoints" might be some crucial stuff for the whole story.
There are already SEVERAL small hints placed around the story which might have been unnoticed for now, but it all will eventually come together - sooner, or later.
