Dumb dialogue.. I dont expect shakespeare but I remember very vividly playing a game that included the line: "HAHAHAHA IM EMPTYING MY BALLS ON YOU" and I actually became (even) dumber after reading that
One option "choices" to advance the scene
Parts of the game where its mandatory to click through all possible dialogue options before being able to continue
Inconsistent update times -- start off with updates every 3-4 months then drop to once per year once the money starts rolling in
Exaggerated facial expressions
95% white cast -- all white except for that one black guy using that one model yeah u know the one
Stupid horse sized penises
Getting obviously forced in full nudity in the first few scenes because the creator needs a hook
On the other side of that spectrum: not getting even a boob after several years because fuck you give me money
Minigames -- i cant play them with only one hand stop putting them in

Probably mentioned before but for some reason game devs think players want to see the male MCs masturbate. I'd understand it being in certain games, but I don't play those. I play games where you fuck hot women, so why would I want to watch a man stroke his dick?

There's a number of things (which I already posted in another, similar-but-different thread), but I think the thing I encounter most often and wish I didn't, is pregnancy/impregnation. Not only does it (IMO) ruin all too many games I might otherwise enjoy, but it's probably the most requested thing I see in threads for games that already have it. I find it grotesque and wish it would at least be made optional in any game that has it.

1) Games where the dev thinks stringing 1 to 3 animation loops together with minimal text is adequate. Bruh- these are called VN for a reason. If we just wanted V we'd toss on some porn, hentai, or browse rule34 or some shit.

I get it, they're free assets or easily obtainable, but I'd like to see more effort go into developing the settings of these VNs.

I hate it when a game has a concept of making choices, but just because I made one choice thats against incest(which I hate),etc... from that choice on I can-never have enough corruption to choose sexy choices later, seriously just because (if female protagonist) I rejected my fathers advances I cannot sleep with my neighbor the next day because I lack corruption, that is STUPID.

Yeah I don't mind having to "manual skip" stuff I'm not into if the game is not meant to be a sandbox but this kind of stat gate rarely even makes sense to me in the first place. Like what is the internal logic here when I as the player get to make the choice (often contrary to common sense, decency etc.) but then the game sets arbitrary thresholds for different contexts yet still lets me make more choices? For some reason I am denied the freedom to truly pick "my" path yet the burden of building a consistent narrative and character is foisted onto me anyway.

Plus the base implication of equating all sexual activity to "corruption" regardless of whether it's romantic, purely lustful, self-destructive or outright non-consensual. Bumping uglies with your dad (or dog...) is not the same as getting dragged into an alley which is not the same as drinking at a party and following a guy to the bedroom or seeing if you can take your entire hand after already masturbating for half an hour. Yet in quite a few games it's all the same and a mix-and-match approach is faster than continuing one activity you have actively expressed interest in.

So if she sounds like she's enjoying sex, she's not 'seiso', so not desirable. It's why they're always screaming 'no' when they're about to cum, as if it's a bad thing that's happening. It's honestly such a turn-off for me, I wish there were at least a *few* Japanese games/porn films where the actresses weren't sounding like they were being murdered instead of fucked.

Gonna take a digression here to gush about a game that does choices really well. Casual Desires makes it so that practically every sexual encounter is optional, so it's your call to make whether the female MC is a one-girl lesbian, a girl who gets around with every man she sees, or someone who (surprisingly) can remain virginal in the face of all the sex around her.
