Not just things I'm tired of, but some of them i didn't want to see in the first place too.
1. So many times that i see a RPGM game, it uses fucking DAZ or some other shit like that, but the actual gameplay parts is default RPGM assets. Just 2 different art styles that do not match at all and using default assets is just lazy and a sign of low quality, even games that use 2d art do this shit. Devs who use this engine do not know what a tileset or RPGM parallax mapping is ? Or do not know that you can make characters bigger than 1 tile... The level design in these games is also terrible with no effort put in it most of the time. As if they don't even care about that part of the game, why even use RPGM then ? Go put your renders'n'shit in Ren'py, unlike RPGM its even free.
Damn... I really fucking hate the overabundance of this DAZ renders shit in RPGM section, shit that could be made in Ren'py but devs use RPGM instead For one Lona RPG there is thousands of this garbage, so i just exclude RPGM from my search, which sucks cuz i probably missed some other gems in this sea of shit...
2.All these side-scroller female MC rape games that wants you to suck at at the game to see the content, you know the ones, there's plenty of em. Most of theese games are also fucking easy and it's really hard to suck at them. And seeing the
H-content = insta game over, start over from a save, none of what you saw done to ur MC ever actually happened.
It is really shitty game design tbh, you have 2 elements to the gameplay that do not synergize with each other in any way and even contradictory in nature, you play good ? get punished by not seeing H-content like ever. It is sad that in these games this objectively bad game design choice is kind of an industry standard and devs do not want to make things different.
There are games that are least offenders or bring something else to the genre. Like the game "Captivity" being a wave based survive as long as you can game, where you eventually will lose no matter what and see all the H-scenes, and also unlock some new stuff trough achievements. And "Sinisistar" which is hard and you probably will lose a lot but checkpoints are everywhere so you won't lose much progress and can see all the scenes for each level easily. It also features losing not being a game over in some levels, where you are being captured instead and can escape after an H-scene multiple times before true game over, it's like a life system from older games, pretty cool, i wish more such games would use such feature. And Kincaid lets you fuck enemies you defeated, which is cool too.
3.Zombies, as if it wasn't an overused trope to begin with in normal media. Zombies are just boring and overused, and people don't even try to be creative about them.
4. Game 0.01 versions and stuff like that. Barren wastelands in terms of content, with less then 1 hour of gameplay, Barely even a tech demo cuz there is no tech in those, just shit and placeholders. I get that early access is now an industry standard, but i think there should be a line of what is acceptable. At least make a core gameplay loop ready and working and some shit to do in game. Oh and when those games have a patreon, damn... ain't that my favorite. It is also fun when checking the comments to see people saying "not really a game yet... BUT WOW IT HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL" bruh, no it doesn't, just say it's shit.
That's about all the stuff i'm absolutely tired that i can think of right now. Majority of games here feel kinda samey too, very hard to find something original that would caught my eye, and that is truly tiresome.
