You could very well be right, honestly, I don't even know anymore... I'm almost burned out. I've worked on 14+ different VN's in the last 4 weeks, many are the AAA titles and almost all of them were mislabeled, bugged beyond normal, or otherwise semi-chaos to resolve. I'll reach out to Monkey after the holiday. We all need a small break for 24-48hrs I reckon.

SanchoMod Update (S4E27.5 Hybrid)
A very rare half-Episode mod update with a special new feature

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ COMPLETELY
S4 E27.5 Automatic Hybrid Unlocker Instructions (choose how you want the VN/Mod to work):

For standard S4E27.5 non-SE simply install as normal.​

Upon VN startup the SanchoMod screen will look exactly like this to confirm:​

For S4E27SE/E27.5 Hybrid follow these instructions in addition to the normal installation.​

After you've installed SanchoMod S4E27.5 inside a clean new installation of VN S4E27.5 prepare the following:​

1. From your S4E27SE VN installation zip (last SE update) grab these (and only these) four RPA files: "ep25bonus", "ep26bonus", "ep27bonus", and "ep27bonus2". These are the SE asset files that you must acquire on your own since I'm not a supplier. You need all four and nothing more from that zip. Here's a visual to assist:
   1. View attachment 3201824
2. Download the "TFMG-Episode-27.5 - SanchoModHybrid.zip" file attached to the bottom of this post.
3. Place the four content RPA files from E27SE (the files from Step 1) inside your E27.5's "/game" directory.
4. Place the contents of the SanchoModHybrid zip (the files from Step 2) inside your E27.5's "/game" directory.

Done. Upon VN startup the SanchoMod screen will now look exactly like this to confirm:​

If the above Hybrid steps confuse or scare you then skip it, just install SanchoMod inside a clean VN installation like you always have in the past and enjoy E27.5 non-SE as is.

I cant load any saves, it does the kick to the new game name entry screen thing.

I just re-played at v27 too because my save was borked then too

I built the mod update off of SonsOLiberty's compressed version found here. This is the case most every time since he and I work rather close on most VN's I mod on (I should say he help me way more than I help him though).

That said, since this is a half-episode update your generally safest loading a save you made with Ep27.0 as the dev tends to bork the RPYC files if you attempt to load back too far (regarding dates). Most updates I generally only have a small percentage of older saves that don't load (under 10% or so). Your mileage may vary. Any load of the mod's AutoSaves on page 69 should be solid though... I pick those points at very determined spots to be a safe a possible in the future.

Oh... naturally.... I already deleted my copy of 27SE (uncompressed)... about 30 seconds before reading Sancho's note about getting the rpa files from it. LOL.... not my day. Owell, I'll redownload the compressed version since you say that will work.

this got me there! I had only tried loading natural autosaves and my own end of 27 save.

sandcho autosave loaded fine. ty sir for both the autosave and handholding me to it!

Mac/PC/Linus is basically the same: 1) Install a clean version of the VN (no shenanigans, just the basic install with no trickery) 2) Install the mod by copying ALL of the contents in it's zip inside the VN's "/game" directory (again, no trickery, just copy/replace as needed). That's it. If you do anything else it will likely fail.

You may have to use S2 via virtual machine on Mac, I can't recall, that was many many moons ago. That mod is very old code which was tested on PC and Linux for sure, but I don't mac so I can't recall if we had it tested on it or not when not via VM. S3 and S4 shouldn't be a problem at all though, those are both v7+ of the mod's Core.

This worked for another OSX user 3yrs ago on OSX. Extract the file from here and place it inside the "SanchoMod" folder located inside the "game" folder. I think this might just get you done.
