This is a really interesting project, but I wonder if all the time and effort you're spending for a female route (with this kind of game and characters) is worth it. I honestly doubt it.
If you've been following this board for a while you'll see that there are definitely people who play and like the female MC route. Don't know how big that population is, but it most definitely exists. This is a really interesting project, but I wonder if all the time and effort you're spending for a female route (with this kind of game and characters) is worth it. Yep, I play both. I like how your get some nice differences between the two. The whole bit with Kayla on the female route where they flash from the top of a skyscraper, go to a bar, and share a hotel bed was really nice, and quite hot too.If you've been following this board for a while you'll see that there are definitely people who play and like the female MC route. It might not be providing content that I'm excited to see personally, but as a member of a community of freeloaders I'm happy for other folks to get things they want too.
Isn't it just another version of "is NTR avoidable?"
I should probably not waste my time responding to this but no, obviously it isn't another version of that (which I've always hated, btw). It's math: think of how much more content you would have now if that time and effort would have not gone towards something that like 5% of the userbase uses. (and NOT because is a female PoV, don't misunderstand me (plenty of good games like that), but because I don't think it fits this particular game.. it's like he tried to squeeze it in there). If you've been following this board for a while you'll see that there are definitely people who play and like the female MC route. What you're saying I think proves my point. The developer is working on an aspect of the story that isn't everyone's particular brand of scotch, and that comes with an opportunity cost (the developer is spending time on aspects of the story I don't enjoy!! Waaaah!!). The folks who complain about NTR that's avoidable is a pretty clear example of this . . . why are you complaining about something that you'll never see? Because it slows down the development of the things you do want to see. You see this kind of discussion on tons of threads here . . . developer spends time on a storyline with character X but not on character Y, and that upsets me because I don't like character X (and I should ALWAYS get my way when it comes to the development of a project where I am making no contribution to move the project forward)I should probably not waste my time responding to this but no, obviously it isn't another version of that (which I've always hated, btw). You don't think it fits this game. Maybe you have reasons to think so?I should probably not waste my time responding to this but no, obviously it isn't another version of that (which I've always hated, btw). Good advice prevents abandoned games. Just sayin.Let the dev do the story he wants to do.
Yes! We exist, and we have the right to get good content too!I'm a patron due to the availability of a female route.
A bunch of vagatarians is no less likely than a prudish, overbearing mother having a dude watch over her nubile 18 year old daughters for a month. Both are porn logic, best not to think to hard on it.Very nice game. Girls are so super cute and adorable and I'd have to say that the sweet, furtive looks and ways they act are a huge part of the appeal.
Game is starving for some more Dakota content though. One of the hottest girls in the game with an amazing body but hasn't been seen for days. Need her back ASAP.
With regards to this debate about the different content paths, I do agree it's probably adding more time to the development to do this, and I get the whole "let the dev do what they want" sentiment, but as I see that's it been over 2 years since this game was first posted and it covers a week in the game, if things keep at that pace then I guess we're looking at around 6 years for the game to be done since it takes place over one month. If, however, the dev had just chosen to keep it as one gender of protag, then that time would likely come down considerably, so something to consider there.
Also, I know it's fiction and all and maybe it's just me, but every girl you meet in the game (8 so far) basically being a lesbian on the FMC path just seems somewhat less likely than them all being interested in a male MC and being straight/bi. I mean, I've played FMC games that have full lesbian paths, but for some reason, as much as I often like them, I find the concept of all the girls in a game being lesbian more unlikely than I find the concept of multiple girls being interested in a male MC, so I kinda see why some people feel that having different gender paths is stretching development times.
I didn't pursue Dakota for two reasons: I wasn't sure if it would upset Alexis (realized way after the fact how unlikely that is in a harem AVN), but mostly because she was too pushy and entitled about it. Usually it is milfs that I turn down for that reason, so this was a first. Why did people complain originally? I assume you're implying racism was partially behind it, and I suppose that is the case for some people, but I doubt it is very high of a percentage. The Dev had intended a larger role for Dakota but a lot of people complained about her, so he dropped or reduced her role. I have my thoughts on why but I'll leave you to come up with your own conclusion.
I think it's a pretty high percentage. I don't feel like going through the beginning of the thread but I think Ava basically supplanted Dakota at least in terms of the size of her role not necessarily the narrative direction.I didn't pursue Dakota for two reasons: I wasn't sure if it would upset Alexis (realized way after the fact how unlikely that is in a harem AVN), but mostly because she was too pushy and entitled about it. Same here on both of these reasons. The fact that she pretty much came from nowhere to suddenly be on her knees in front of me was a turn-off (can and do say the same for Ava, although circumstances are different). I don't mind Dakota for looks, she's not my favourite by any stretch, but she doesn't at all look bad.I didn't pursue Dakota for two reasons: I wasn't sure if it would upset Alexis (realized way after the fact how unlikely that is in a harem AVN), but mostly because she was too pushy and entitled about it.
