So... the bathroom scene with alexis on day 1 seems broken. No matter what reponses I make before (you'd think not checking out/returning kiss'd be enough) if I choose to close the door the dialogue still references things that didn't happen. Guess no workaround for it?

I'll never complain about an Ava scene but this really is all over the place and has far more issues than a forced scene.

True it's just forced LI are a big pet peeve of mine so it stands out more to me.

I once asked the dev why he wasted a lot of time on a WIP animation with her because she was just a side character to me. He replied pretty much saying she was a main character and integral to the plot... :-/
We stuck with her since the dev uses her also as a catalyst for the rest of the story

I mean, I don't give a shit if the dev forces us to let her stay at the house and advances the plot with her, but if the next release comes out without the option to not fuck her behind the pool, I'm dropping this game. Getting railroaded like that is just completely the opposite of "choice driven."

From what I understand, Ava is crucial for Alexis, Kayla, and their friends to accept the reality that the protagonist will have other women and not a monogamous relationship with one of them, the girls who want to be with him will have to accept this, so, in the end, Ava is the most important character in the story.

I hate forced relationships, so I understand your dissatisfaction, but relationships with Nicole and Ava are mandatory for the plot, the other girls are optional.
Fortunately, I like Ava.

If Nicole didn't exist, this might be a valid argument. But she kinda does, and her coming to visit drives that home quite nicely. A relationship with Ava as you describe is literally redundant since the relationship with Nicole pre-exists every other LI.

As for platonic relationship with alex, yes. It will be possible, but it will take her a bit to understand that, as you said, she is clingy, but if you choose to play without her as a li, she will calm down and just enjoy her frienship with you, but their will be some things that come up if you choose kayla over her and she finds out about it.

so... am i missing something? no matter what i do, no matter how much i reject Alex, i'm still forced into a relationship with her. i haven't finished any playthrough yet; so far, the farthest i've gotten before getting disgusted with my choices being ignored and restarting to try different things is staying the extra night with Kayla and Mei.

i wouldn't mind if she was just being clingy. if, as you claim, it was just a while of her whining a bit and wanting to spend time together, asking for hugs or kisses, or hell, even if she directly leaned in for a kiss but i could reject her, i wouldn't mind that. but it seems like either you're saying "in order to have a platonic relationship with Alex, you have to first go back on your word to Nicole and risk ruining your relationship with her" or else you're just outright lying.

i haven't yet tried male family friend or any of the female routes, and i'm kind of burned out on it at the moment; is it possible to actually reject Alex in one of those? or is there some particular combination of choices involving not rejecting her at some point that allows you to have a platonic relationship, that i'm just missing because i'm trying too hard to reject her?

Oof. The guy mc seems like an asshole. Cheat on your girlfriend, she's hurt but decides to give you another chance and you pay her back by turning around and dumping her for the next girl you see.(who is part of your family on some paths.)

Yeah I like Nicole too much to want to hurt her.

I can respect that you like to focus on only one LI. Personally I'm looking forward to all the LIs and the girl mc to be in a relationship together.

I do agree, the MC is a scumbag. There are certain things I wish were handled differently.

I love the game, but it feels like it's dying a slow death, at least to me. It doesn't make much money and the dev barely communicates.

I wonder if the dev should focus on just the art and coding. Would that help him complete the game? He could let his friend who writes the female mc handle the male version but since they handle the story so differently the people who like the current guy mc storyline may become dissapointed. I just hope that if something unfortunate does happen to the game that she decides to create her own. I really like how she handles the story.

I think you should give it a try. The writing is more focused on building up the relationship between the characters which makes the inevitable sex scenes more enjoyable.

recently played this one for first time and tried both MC and FMC (uncle/aunt)
FMC route is complete garbage - obviously whole pregnancy shenanigans are cut completely, but also half of sex scenes in the game, for whatever fucking reason... Ava doesn't have any content at all for example
gender pick in this game is not same as "Bad Memories" or "Mythos", where you don't loose anything, here you only get like 60% of content if you pick FMC
