What are reviews really for? As soon as we give a negative opinion on the games or even on the developer who either does stupid things (totally buggy games etc.), or who drags out development to milk these subscribers, we get censored. As a result, the reviews are totally biased, because only positive reviews remain.
I agree that some user posts are abused, but censoring them all opens the door to scammers. We therefore also need regulation for developers who ask for donations, when we see that a good while after 5 years of development the games are barely progressing,
If the sanctions fall (starting with the warning before the post is deleted), this would move more than one person. Don't give me the excuse that yes, they have a life, a job. Don't ask for donations if you don't have the time to devote to it, don't ask people to pay for your vacation when you're barely working on those why people are giving you money.

Sorry for this post, but since I have been on this forum, I have seen the regulations change and the moderation covering the scammers more and more instead of clearing them. This is the saturation point. I'm just waiting for moderation to review their rules and face what needs to be done for the good of the community,
otherwise the day another forum will be created for the same use with strict rules for developers, I will leave there (with certainly a part of the community which is starting to saturate too).
ok, i understand this thread has a poll, but this thread felt like too much of a joke to me so i chose not to vote. But still will give my feedback. Starting off pertaining to the subject of this thread according to OP, the review system has a purpose and its there for a good reason, yes some people give negative reviews but that doesn't mean the review system should not exist. a person who chooses to review a game should be cordial and respectful when writing their review, and positive feedback is always respected and appreciated. Furthermore, reviews are a good way for developers to receive critiques from the people of F95zone and reviewing also helps others express their opinions on how they feel about the game.

honestly this thread feels like a joke, actually this thread entertains me.(y)

They make the game available to the public for free, they work without any guarantee that they will receive payment according to their efforts, unless you are a donor, a person who finances the project monthly, then yes you have the right to charge, but everyone plays for free. If you see a bad game, simply uninstall it and go for another one, there are several gems that are free, just look for what you want.

Personally I don't find many reviews helpful. Most of the time it's about the feelings of the players. I can read so many reviews and still not know what the game is about.

You can make plenty of 1* reviews and shit on a game completely. You just have to not be an idiot that gives cause for deletion. And it isn't because you didn't like the game lol.

But reading your posts, you have a very tenuous grasp on reality, so I suppose it makes sense.

"as" is a word that points back to "perfectly written" and connects it with "a personal opinion about the game". you cant stop reading after "perfectly written".

put together it means... exactly what it says... which is not what you interpreted it as

I agree, It's the rating for most of my, few, reviews. All it need is to explain, rationally, why the game deserve that rating from your point of view, instead of saying that you don't like the game.

it sent my head spin when some person went out of their way to explain op the basic idea of having control of a work to make sure it mantains the creator's vision instead of someone else's and op went lol excuses.
bad reviews also have to exist, its how you know any opinion can be posted instead of waiting for the ok from some objective authority, eventually someone with a good opinion might post too

Many times, yeah, that's the case. There have been some though where it's been useful to look at. If only because I'm seriously debating whether or not to play a game, and don't want to dive into 200+ pages of discussions to figure out if one of the tags featured in the game is avoidable or not. There's been a couple games where I've run into stuff I'm not interested in, which wasn't at all avoidable; and well, I wouldn't say it pissed me off, more just annoyed me that it was such a thing.

Probably the worst experience was one game whose name escapes me now, where there was no trans/futa tag, and about halfway through the game, I come to find that not only is one of the love interests a girl with a dick, my character wants her to fuck him in the ass. A character which, to that point, had shown no interest or inclination in allowing that to happen. Deleted that game and didn't look back. That's around the time I started looking through the reviews to see if things like that were mentioned, and making a note of it. Sure, a lot of reviews don't go down that route, and read more like complaints; but you do run into ones that might give you a better understanding of what's going on through the development of a game, in a more succinct way when compared with the discussions of the game.

Honestly it's much easier to just type the tag into the search bar and look at posts talking about it than to go to the reviews. A good review helps a lot though.

Well...

Still the same...

I mean...

If it is "perfectly written", then it is just :poop:

If it is "perfectly written as a personal opinion", then it is big pile of :poop::poop::poop:

Anyways...

We just have to go back in time and kidnap his mother to take her to New Bedford, Massachusetts just before she pops him out.
Hmm... He who should not be named to not summon his minions used to live there, but if I'm not wrong he was born in New York city.
