Well, maybe there is a reason, why male protagonists are such jerks. You know, when I want to drug a woman and then rape her in her sleep, I find myself a game. When I want to be a fucking gentleman, invite girl for a dinner and kiss her passionately, I turn off my computer and go outside. I second what recreation said about the female MC tending to become a massive slut being a problem for some female MC games, but for me the problem for female MC games is the problem where the player is activly working against the will of the PC, when she sin't a slut character she doesn't want to be having sex with anything with two (or sometimes more) legs and that really wrecks a game for me.
There is also the fact that as a guy who writes i can tell you for a fact that even if your good at writing from the female perspective(which i'm not particularly) you are always aware that your writing from a less personal perspective, sure you can step into her shoes but walking a mile in them is somewhat tougher than if i were to do the same with a man, it's the heels that i can't get used to, but seriously it's harder for a man to write a good female character in the first person than it would be to write a male character. This applies mainly to the first person, i have no problem writing a female character in the third person but climbing into a female characters head for a whole game is taxing in a way that doing so for a male character isn't, as such having the MC be male in a hypothetical game i would write would be far more in my comfort zone, i'd be more self assured in the writing being decent and i think a lot of writers prefer to do the same for that reason.
There is also the old "for men by men" argument, porn is dominated by guys or more specifically it's aimed at a male audience, women watch plenty of porn but in my experience they are far less likely to ever admit to or talk about it, as such porn is more often aimed at men as they are the "obvious" audience, therefore the MC would be more relatable to the target audience if he where male.
As for Futa, Futa is niche, there is unlikely ever to be the mass market for futa that there is for straight, lesbian and gay porn, while i get that it has a "best of both worlds" appeal it also presents problems in terms of the audience, i personally have no problem with futa x women but futa x man doesn't work for me at all, IMO futa for an MC would be a can of worms because you'd have to be careful of finding "the line" that you'd have to tread for a whole game or risk alienating a portion of your fan base.
There is also an element of "if it ain't ..." if a writer were to find a modicum of success with a male MC game, especially through a pay per update model a la patreon ect. there is a risk that by saying "the next game will have a female protagonist/Futa protagonist" they would alienate there audience to such a degree that the revenue stream would dry up very quickly and if your a dev who was able to go full time on he back of the previous game suddenly the 9 to 5 is looming again, effectively shutting you down, or at least putting you into checkmate with people expecting development times and quality on a level with your previous work, something you'd never be able to do while working full time.

Each day when you go to market, and you scream at the sellers "I hate bananas" it makes people not listen to you.
Instead of screaming, try using a soft voice. Smile and say "I really love melons"
if you just stomp on the bananas, you'll never get melons.
The sellers in the market aren't going to stop selling bananas, no matter how much you hate.
If you say that you love melons, then the sellers will start bringing in melons to sell, because they want your business.
It's 2.6k vs 1.4k so the difference is not big at all, considering that the main target demographic is male. Also a lot of the games are dating sims, so the MC sex and gender choice is going to be more biased more toward target demo.
When i was young i did respect women and didn't want to do them anything wrong , logical result of that was no girl did care about me and i didn't get laid .Bad guys always do better with women

I'm female and a lesbian. I enjoy lesbian game of which there are very few.
I don't feel the need to ask for more for one reason only, i'm a minority on here and it wouldn't benefit the devs at all.
There are some awesome devs that have been kind enough to add a lesbian path in their female protag games and I do appreciate that. There are also some really awesome devs that have both male and female MC's with various romance options like Bad Memories and Notty is adding a female MC to Heavy Five at some point.
It doesn't bother me that there is a lack, I still enjoy the stories of a lot of those male protag games.
Sure i'm fussy when it does come to male protags. I can't play MC's like the one in Midnight Paradise. I don't mind playing a male but I refuse to play an absolute dickhead with no likeable qualities whatsoever. I don't want to see them get the girl I want to see them castrated and that's just not enjoyable to play.
It's also why I avoid a lot of incest games. When you have that complete creepy bastard that spies on them in the shower and rapes them in their sleep I lose interest quickly.
I think most people don't mind female protags but I do know there are a vocal few that hate them.
However the vast majority are hetero males and it makes sense that devs cater to them first.
While there are a decent number of us fems on here only a handful of us are gay so male protag still gives the straight women the hot scenes they enjoy.
It's all in numbers and catering to the lowest isn't going to see a financial success.

This could be a provocative post to stir the waters but it could also be an attempt to try to see why there isn't more female protag/futa games or more games where the male protag is more of a ladie's man and doesn't need to resort to underhanded means to get women into bed.
Short answer- You're not looking hard enough.
Long answer- It's true that we don't have more of them but should. If you listen for the tinny screams of the easily triggered misogynist crybabies, you will find those games. I know the mods have had to delete and warn at least a few thousand posts of a select few crybois who LOUDLY scream, complain, sob, and act like snowflakes over female and futa protag games. What sucks is that some people perceive the misogyny as rampant but in reality, it is carried out by a smol group of smol pp crybois. Some of the developers themselves are among them.
