What I mean is that they've already finished the update, but they're making excuses about delaying it month after month to increase subscribers' anticipation. They post screenshots of the update every week or month to entice subscribers into paying their monthly subscriptions. Then, the developer decides to release the update if subscribers lose patience.

This is a well-known tactic that developers have been using for a long time.

For me at this point there's so many AVNs, especially if one isn't picky as far as kinks like incest, that I'd just play something else and forget an AVN even existed if there's no free update here after about 2-3 months. A lot of devs just release an update every month to buff up sub numbers, which makes sense as then they don't have time to unsub in between updates during dead months.
