From a developer’s perspective, the part of the game that all players get to experience should be as large as possible. Why? Let’s say I release an update with 1,000 lines of dialogue. But right at the start, there’s a branch that splits the story into two paths - so now you, an average player, will only see 500 lines regardless of your choice.
If I remove even a hint of harassment, groping, and similar things, I’ll have to cut content for everyone, because I’d need to implement alternate versions that only about 5% of players would actually use. And that means everyone suffers.
Why do I want to exclude everything except literal sex from the definition of NTR? Because that way, every player gets more content, fewer bugs caused by tangled branches, and - in terms of the story - it makes sense. In the early part of the game, all the girls need to complete these quests and, one way or another, end up in the center of male attention.
This isn’t about taking away player choice - it’s about adding more spice to the story.
