There is only one thing guaranteed - if and when the MC ascends the throne, the Spice Pirate won't see it coming.
Regarding Zelene... she doesn't visibly appear to be a descendant of Lord and Lady Cromwell, but I don't recall anything in the story indicating she's not related to them by blood. Anyways, there's an "escape" clause, if it turns out she isn't ("In Adristan, a Lord may dedicate any person to be his heir, regardless of their blood.")

). I know a lot of devs say this, but it really does help out a lot and it doesn't cost you anything.To be clear, I don't plan on releasing on Steam anytime soon. I will probably release on Steam either December 2025 or early 2026 sometime once I have a lot more content, so still a long way to go before that happens.
Progress on Chapter 1.5 is chugging along - I'm just wrapping up the third last scene and then I'll have two more scenes to go
. As always, weekly dev-log will come out sometime on Sunday.

Sad. Its one of those .5 games. I know rendering and writing etc is tedious work but these updates that has .5s are always milkers. I've seen many games go from ch 2 to ch 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and so on and they give super little update i hope this one wont turn into that.

This sounds interesting and I will keep an eye on it. He definitely has a lot of grand plans and I hope he can follow through; but if it is like most VN's this trilogy will take 30 years to complete. I am an old man an will never live that long but I hope he can pull it off.
they are publicly releasing their creation AND at the same time milking? curious!
as an aside: version numbering in the avn genre means nothing really. its all over the place there is no consistency 1.0.0 0.1.0 0.0.1 could all mean the same depending on which dev and how they feel - oh and then is those naming their releases by chapters days or whatever other metric appending additional numbers or letters to denote fixes.

I think I like game even more after this next "chapter". There are least two very different paths currently with glade/king´s path that essentially change the entire narrative surrounding MC and potentially entire kingdom.
Very well written, pretty girls, good dialogue. A lot of renders that portray emotions, very few renders where nothing happens(aka walls of text in other vns).
Extremely fast delivery too, it was like what 2 months for 1500 renders ? Thats fucking nuts. Too soon to call this next big thing, but it definitely has potential, gonna keep eye on this one. Potential banger in making.

The concept of sequels in AVNs is always an interesting - but thorny subject - and for a good reason: giving the players various (drastic) ways in which they can play the first game, but then completely ignoring said choices in the sequels is... certainly a brave choice. I can't imagine why you, as a developer, would bother with creating these alternate realities if only one is going to be acknowledged for future reference? Seems wiser to 'slim' down these variables from the start, and focus on updating the game faster over managing all these branching paths that will inevitably lead to a "dead end", so to speak.
And while ambitious, this trilogy sounds like a mountain of work that only a few of us will ever want or see in their lifetimes, but that sounds like a future you problem, so I won't comment on that in detail.
Especially when I look at your "model" AVNs you were inspired by... all of them in development cycles of 1 - 2 updates per year.
I wish you the very best of fortune on your journey, but as of this moment, these are mere words on paper, hanging too close to the fireplace...
