Well, I worked a little bit on DDM over the last year. Put some wolves and elk in the forest, made animals steal your prey, split the 'horse and elf' into 'horse and elf/elk and elf', collected resources to add a 25th lair (a roadside church); tested things up to dragon size 8, including the lair site discovery rework, kobold tribe and making patrols retreat; maybe a few more things. Was psyching myself up to take on the rebalancing of combat stats due to the new mechanics I added to Attack Mastery. I was more than 50% sure this was to be the summer I was going to take the time to actually make a new version and think about sharing it again.

Came back to see what had transpired in the meanwhile to... this. :( As you might imagine, my motivation collapsed to the floor like a sack full of kobolds. An ironic if ultimately fitting end to three years of F95-ites (mostly) abiding by the deal I offered when DDM was discontinued.

While motivation could possibly be recovered in another year or three, I don't honestly think I can continue to work on a public mod for a game whose author is openly hostile to me.

I'm a bit busy right now, and snap decisions aren't a good idea anyway. So I'll think it over a bit and come back when I have some longer stretches free time - probably end of June/start of July. It's likely going to mean putting an end to my participation in adult game development for good and permanently unrooting myself from those communities, since it seems to bring nothing but grief to me now.

I wish you luck with Era Drakonis and hope it will become a worthy successor one day.

Don't know if someone who's willing to work on this game or the developer for Era Drakonis will see this but two of the ideas I think would be nice to have in these games would be to both build a Training Ground in your lair to train specific or all of your current squad members or minions. And removing the Rage and Infernal Seals mechanic. Kind of annoying if the more people fears you, the more likely they are to stupidly summon demons thereby forcing you into an ending that involves fighting them.

You train minions and converts by forming squads and taking them on hunts. Or letting them torture captives in cages.

Kind of annoying if the more people fears you, the more likely they are to stupidly summon demons thereby forcing you into an ending that involves fighting them.
The panicky people think to let the demons and dragon army fight, and they can finish off the weakened winner.
Then again its relatively easy once you learn some renpy, to edit the seals mechanic to always stay at max.
Rage is easy to lower, get into and win battles.

I know the squad stuffs but when I see it mentioned them getting stronger, I wasn't seeing that much of a difference though. Kind of made me wonder if they get stronger super slow or something. I even tried training the Dark Elf and even when she leveled up a couple of times, I didn't see much difference in it. Even her Max HP didn't increase.

I didn't know they gain exp by torturing captives in cages though. Must've forgotten that.

Another idea that would be nice is if we could've hired those lizardmens as chefs for our lair to prepare our food in case we don't feel like spending some of our time constantly hunting when we get bigger since when you get really big, you'll probably have to spend a few days hunting to even get halfway to max satiety. Of course, you can use console commands for that too. And I know that you can just go to them and buy some food to eat but once you're really big, it won't be enough.

Is there a way to add a lair you haven't encountered yet into the recall location option? If not then is there a way to increase the chances of certain lairs like Volcano Cave or Ifrit Castle to proc more often?

Porbly via console, but have not tried it myself.

Need to do file editing in notepad++
Would only work on a new game after editing

1st Quote. Do you remember the method of how to add locations via console? 2nd Quote. What's the file I would need to edit and how do I go about doing that?
