They did say there coming back about 6 months ago and even made "pre-unlock" post on Patreon Even sat a release date, safely say that never happened. Shit is still on Kickstarter to I think.

checked his patreon and its not like he disappeared he just switched to making a wallpaper per month to keep the patreon alive low effort way to earn a lil coffee money i guess.

1 dev earned/earns 1 buck per month and some devs have turned to artists so there is competition and also ai.

Been that way for a while (like the Come Inside dev who's been promising an update for like 5 years now), it's still on Kickstarter to last I checked.

i think the difference is that the come inside dev made a buttload of cash from milking it this one is making like 10 bux a month or some such and hasn't been making a buncha promises except for a single offhand comment that he will try in a while, he might just be uploading once a month so the patreon page doesn't expire in case he gets time or motivation to start working on it again.

that said i cant speak for what the dev is planning, after all he might be uploading just so it doesn't close and he keeps getting paid but it seems like more work than its worth considering its so little money (unless theres some giga whale that forgot to turn off subscription lol)

Ten dollars may only be enough for two meals, and there are still many players on Steam looking forward to the follow-up of the game

So, a developer who made a VN with an interesting concept and eye catching CG (for its time) makes empty promises while posting wallpapers for his Patreon supporters.
This sounds very familiar.
