While I don't like the scene existing, I do think the dialogue matches. These are two strangers, and Hermione is an old gal who knows what she wants.
If you put it like that, yes, it can be fitting, I guess, as long as we get something more when the girl involved is closer to the MC. A longer scene would have been much more satisfying, though.

To be fair - Eternum is a harem game. Sure, you can technically go for just 1 LI, but the game is designed as a funny fuckfest, it's built around the idea of MC being a kind of "walking banging machine" collecting everyone along the way. And in that context, forced sex scenes mostly feel like part of the design - pretty standard for a harem fuckfest. So people tend to accept it as "that’s just the deal", I'm not saying it's fine, it's just it is.didnt play it for a while, a few years now.
i dropped playing it after the first playthrough, despite all hype and high praises around.
the reason - enforced character and scenes with it. cant remember the character now, mc meets her early in the game (family dinner or something), and later he is stuck with her, even if he has zero interest in anything romantic or sexual with her. story reasons i guess
to cut it short, point was that most players dont register it as they are perfectly fine with no choices there, and by default they pursue that girl from the very start. but to not go overly OT here, i just compared those two situations and people reactions to those things.
in comparison, this game has enforced scene, BUT the dev claims that character wont be enforced, yet the people pull out their torches in order to purge every and last trace of this game, while in some other cases people (i would guess at some instances at least the very same people) are perfectly fine not only with enforced scenes yet with enforced characters and Lis.
it is a hypocrisy that is kinda trademark not only of the f95zoone
This game, however, is not a harem, it claims to be a VN focused on more serious themes - with supposedly believable / alive characters. At least I expect things to be this way (partially it's my problem I guess - for having high expectations).
Anyways, in this case I immerse myself and I DO care about who my MC sleeps with. When the story leans on forced lewds, it sorta breaks immersion for me. I don’t know how that forced scene plays out later, or if it’s needed for the plot (maybe it is, maybe not). But from where I stand - it could be done without forcing girls on MC. Yeah, maybe it would’ve required more effort from Dev in terms of writing. But that doesn’t make it impossible.
Unless... there is an actual plot-reason, that requires that scene - Hermione pregnancy (canon event) for example. Well, in that case - fair enough. But as far as I remember, the game didn’t frame it as a creampie or anything, in fact, she told MC to cum on her face. So I doubt it's the case here.
All in all - I guess I just expect a bit more respect for player choice when a VN markets itself as "serious story + romance". If we’re forced into a scene for no clear dramatic reason, it’s hard for me to invest into the romance or characters.
P.S. On a side note - as far as I remember - every lewd was optional in Eternum, though I dropped it ages ago.

mods are doing such great job in moderating those threads, and particularly in protecting a few overlyhyped devs/games by all means all the time. any meaningful discussion seems fairly pointless in that regard.
one thing i dont like in avns, regardless if those are harem fuckfests, ntr games, or dating games,would be enforced character (scenes, kinks). this game has enforced scene, so thats a red flag already. but i would still wait and see for a few updates how those things develop further, before dropping it under the buss, unlike those fine young zoooners from above, which are fully on topic with their constructive and meaningful criticism.
to tell the truth, despite this game is promising, in my opinion, i wont hold my breath for it, considering it is obviously just a small, though ambitious, side project (looong developing times, a lil content/small updates, low support...).
yet we shall see, as always, hardly anyone knows what future can bring, things could take u-turn quite easily....

(The following is all conjecture.)
Judging by the amount of reviews on Steam and going by the typical ratio (self-reported by devs), this game likely has sold over 5000 copies on Steam.
The issue is one of incentives. Once sales dry up, would it be financially prudent to keep working on the game?
Another incentive is Patreon. This one isn't doing badly at all, but it's not enough to live off. That said, Patreons do provide a certain pressure, since supporters will generate more revenue than a single purchase on Steam.
My guess is that we'll see a few more updates until "Time Heals: Part 2" gets announced for another cash injection. At least, that's what I would do if I wanted to turn this into my full-time job.
