Нey guys. It's been quite a while since the last dev blog, so I wanted to update you on what I've been working on.
Firstly, I had to go back to the initial scene and redo it. The lighting was off, making it look like sunset instead of morning, so I made adjustments. I am really happy now after it turned out alright on my second attempt. I also made some changes to Olivia's room, adding more elements to make it feel cozier and less empty than before.
Additionally, I've recently been thinking a lot about the race mechanics, it took a while to think about the new gameplay method i wanted to implement with this idea. In the end I came up with the mechanic to introduce unique cards that appear after each race. Players will get to choose one of three cards, each with parameters like Reaction, Endurance, and Determination. Ethernally , the choice will impact future races and outcomes. This is still a rough concept and needs further refinement. I would love to hear your ideas and suggestions.
I am currently sitting at 50 still renders, my render queue is now busy rendering more exciting content for you to enjoy in the next episode. I am trying to smooth everything out in the game, with that I mean I am reajusting the main menu as i listened to your responses and points of views. Changing some things and adding some new things to the menu.
Currently working on setting up social media sites where you can follow more of my game and what i am working on. Most likely there will be a Twitter and also a Reddit page. I will let you know, when i am done with the setting up.
Also regarding devblogs and their infrequent release. Last month was quite difficult for me, so the development was very unstable, but now everything is fine and devblogs will be released more often, every two or three weeks.
