Some games are porn with plots, this one is more plot with porn. Which is actually not all that uncommon when you look at how some word lengths have grown in the games with threads here. Also, this game doesn't even really highlight incest that much in its promotion. And given how often the sisters have been touched, were naked, etc, it's not like the author is shying away from it, it's just that the character has had sex with only a few of the characters at this point. Janice, Georgia, Alice, character in the hideout, and Dana (I think?) are the only ones who've had sex with us.Fair enough, game has only been out for 3 years or so. What's another couple?
That said, I have had the feeling that by the time this game is done, it'll take 500 hours to complete fully and I'd have split up the plots into at least 3-4 games. I'd argue it sort of already feels like it is a couple games, as most of the time at this point you need to choose which of the routes you need to be in for the first three days (Dana, Janice, or Dana+Janice) and then you just either load a timeline or just go through the stuff that you need for that particular event (this time I need to rile up Georgia, have to do those things). Arguably, the walls (the points where main character needs to nail it perfectly to survive) are where I'd have said, you won, good job, tune in next time for Time Loop Hunter 2. Because they already sort of serve that point in the story, as it tends to be a lot of action right before them, and then you succeed and new elements are added (like you were now a full co-conspirator with the red herring group, debate club became a thing etc.). Like the whole beg for more time with parole lady felt like a complete victory in retrospect and you basically always do that, so why not just have it be the start of a new game, where that is your new base point for the full reset.
Now some of that is simply happenstance. Hydra has added stuff to the first three days, but they are already busy enough most times, so most content has gone into the later days. But there are some paths before the first wall that just feel like dead ends, and they wouldn't feel like dead ends if they got more stuff to them. Dana is sort of an afterthought, as she has a ton of interactions in the first couple days and the early builds, but then she's either in the hospital or doing nothing until the fair. Raping Alice is done once, and then you never need to do it again, there's no benefit to repeating the action, which is the original way to overcome the parole lady wall. Stealth feels like a dead end, a skill that was simply forgotten about for new skills that feel a bit more niche like massage. But I don't know the plot summary that apparently includes 15 days. Maybe these branches won't seem pruned when the update in 5 months requires Alice to feel vulnerable and suddenly it becomes relevant. Maybe an update in 2 will have us stalk Dana in days 4-5 to learn more about the mystery scientist from this update. Stealth feels like it should've come up, but hey, maybe when we infiltrate the enemy base, it will. Maybe you'll have to impersonate a massage therapist on day 12. We can't know these things, right up until the work is done.
And because it seems like I've just been taking a massive shit on this game, I love this game, not really as a porn game but as a fun time travel story, about how infinite time travel sort of leads to weird and odd methods of brute forcing outcomes and a clever excuse for "You always know just what to say Protag!" Would I like it if the bdsm aspects of the Alice thing were a bit more common in the fap section of the game? Yes. Would I wish that the porn was less, hey let's do some mild sexy stuff and more hey guys, time to bang in crazy locales? Yes. But I don't demand the same of Quantum Leap or whatever, and the reason I'm in this thread today is because Hydra is so consistent, I knew it would release soon. And it releases on Monday. And that's pretty fucking great, always putting out his product near the front of the month consistently.
