Well... As I posted before, I prefer sandbox games, but this is not a real sandbox game... You almost all the time only have one thing to do... The "sandbox" here is just a quirky way to progress the story, which, in most games, is done by pressing the space bar. Fortunately, the story is good. If it weren't, I'd have quit a long time ago. It's a funny case of "I came for the sandbox, but stayed for the story."I think i am the only one who likes sandbox element . Thats what make these feel like a game not a story .
About people's issues with sandboxes, though I love them when they're done right, there are many sandboxes that really give the genre a bad name. Some have all the issues here, but the story isn't even good, so there's nothing. Moreover, sandbox development is quite problematic... It's all in bits and pieces that make development feel slow and updates empty—a problem this game doesn't have because, as I said, it's not a real sandbox. So, my tip for developers out there: if you want to make a sandbox game, make it a faux-sandbox. It can even be kinetic and people won't notice—just add a few menu with options like: 1) Fuck that girl; 2) Don't fuck her. But the story oughta be good—that's mandatory.
