All of my save files from chapter 2 just say "This file isn't ready for chapter 2". Even though i have definitely played and saved in chapter 2. Does anyone have a fix?

Been quite busy days due to some issues, most of the issues with the windows client were solved already on the first day or two but last couple of days I tackled the issues with mac and linux that are solved now (save /load and missing anims). So now I will switch focus to fixing the remaining dialogue issues.I've been looking at all the reports here and I can say that the reason why ya'll seem to having technical issues is because you're using first of all using some sort of crack which probably causes issues with the steam API that is frequently used throughout the game. I can clearly see you guys are having issues that are unique to whatever it is you are sharing here.
I don't really know what you guys are doing with overwriting files and combining different versions of the clients, i dont know now how many versions are circulating here, clearly though you have people writing recent posts with issues that were resolved already on the 16th nov, and then there are other issues that I've never seen or heard about.
I saw some person complaining about achievements not showing up or no way of knowing what achievement you unlocked... well.. clearly this pirated copy bypasses some steam checks and you dont have a steam licence , and the achievement system is in steam so yeah...
I understand some of you might not have the choice to buy the game due to affortability, hopefully a sale in the future will help with that, but some others, I commend your... tanacity with spending your time and patience trying to play the game without paying... You're really makeing it so much harder on yourselves to save a bit of money. I mean, this has been many years in the making, i hope at least the final version is worth it. There is so much in there its well worth the price of a movie ticket these days.

I don't know why you are telling lies and saying the crack caused the bug when it's clearly the game's fault. The only bug the crack has is with the achievements, which is because you use the Steam Achievement system instead of having an in-game achievement viewer. The other bugs are caused by you releasing the game in a messy state and then fixing it afterward. We know you are trying to boost your sales on Steam but don't discredit others.It will get fixed today!

The game on Steam works fine now. On all three platforms, Windows, Mac and Linux. Whatever is not working with the download that is available here is a combination of multiples releases, including the initial buggy ones, and subsequent patches, and people no longer knowing what to use or what to use. So no, he's not telling lies, it's just the messy world of pirated software...and calling on a dev for it, while he obviously had nothing to do with making these multiple files available on here, is uncalled for.
I'm not the one telling lies here, there are multiple issues you guys are talking about that are pretty damn critical that don't exist in the official game on steam. There were a few issues that were resolved on day one. But i've been here for many years, i have seen how this happens every single time, ofc with tons of people playing you discover new issues, and i've always worked on resolving them ASAP, tell me any other game that is perfect and doesnt require hotfixes. Absurd honestly.
As long as they get fixed and swiftly. Some of thes issues that were legit in the client like for example the freezing issues SOME people had during layered text of animations, were resolved on the 16th. The library issue that was reported was fixed on the release day itself a few hours after the launch, im not saying that the game is in its perfect state yet, there are still some minor things to resolve, however what you guys are experiencing here is not how the game plays on steam.
We had people show up on steam discussion of all places to complain about your bugged version here when it was completely, i was wondering why i couldnt reproduce it and it lead me to F95 seeing multiple people with the same issue, something that people playing from steam never had.
Every single release have had we have fixed any urgent issues asap, and i find it interesting that the game can leak super fast here but then its not patched frequently after. I have seen this with previous releases for as long as i can remember where we had to patch it, even after it patched within an hour or less on patreon it could take days here.
Some but not all of the patch history from steam:
There are still some minor issues outstanding, and ofc I take full responsibility for that and I am working on them, but it's clear that there is a lot of frustration here that is unwaranted towards us as developers and not the version they are playing. The game is not deisgned to run without steam. Every time a patch comes out that is instant and af like a few kilobytes big that can resolve something swiftly. I find it completely resonable that when there are issues- we spend time to fix them. With a small team it is hard to catch it all, but we fix it as soon as we can. What people experience here is way delayed vs how it actually gets patched out, and again, I can tell you with certainty that there are issues reported here that are not or has ever been in the game.
Everyone who buys the game can refund on steam if its not working for them, pretty much no questions asked by steam policy... But again it's impossible to test every senario, some issues are not reproducable, they are harder to fix and can take longer time sometimes, though i am transparent about this on discord and give frequent updates. We will continue to patch as we discover things.
I'm calling because he lies about crack causing bug when in reality it's the messy initial client. You fixed them on Steam, people here respected you so they are not leaking the hotfix patch right away but you still blame us?

I think its clear this version was not tested. The language files aren't even present for one of the missing scenes. Even if you somehow got the pictures to show up, there would be no dialogue present for that scene. I would think that would be one of the top priorities when releasing a new version - that the new content is actually there and playable.
Also, why has the auto-text feature never worked correctly? You click it and it just sits there doing nothing. Somehow it just randomly works after multiple times. Been like this for years in both games.

I told you that some were issues that were corrected swiftly but not all, some of the issues are for sure only present in whatever you got shared here. Talk about cherrypicking.

The ending was kind of strange, at least for me. I'm not sure if choices along the game alter the ending, I think so.
Juli's pregnant, Lorraine is alive (and fucked in the past), Helen too.
Some questions:
- Where is Nika? Was she not born? I may have missed a dialogue over there, I remember MC asking what will happen to Old Nika.
- Did MC fuck Lorraine or that past changed?
Also... there could be a great orgy in the end, I'm sure all of them know of each other's fucking with MC.

NOTE: This is the full update from 11-16-2025, there are still more fixes incoming more than likely, so I doubt this is still the final build.
If you have any kind of issues, I suggest going into your appdata (hidden) and deleting anything related to VNGINE in both Local and LocalLow and start "fresh". The only thing extra in this build is the Steam fix so it can run without having Steam and it is a must have if you didn't buy it.

-Text-over-animation problems getting "stuck" for some
-Text-over-animation not transitioning correctly sometimes like smiling and idling

-Maureen Poolside & Nika Cheerleader Menu anims work again,
