The voices of the anti NTR people are the loudest, you don't see the same level of involvement from, I don't know, lovers of foot fetish, loli, SM, monster girls, vore, pregnancy, gangbangs...whatever. You mostly hear whining about NTR that 90% of the time is either not even NTR, or is avoidable. So no, a game doesn't need NTR to be creative, but the ones trying to impose their point of view the most are the anti NTR.

I'm not advocating for NTR in every game, I want the devs to do whatever they want and the anti NTR to go play another game if they feel mentally cucked each time someone other than the MC is fucking one of the girls. Because it sometimes ruins the game if the devs listen to these people, and all the games end up being basically the same, partially because of Patreon rules, partially because of the anti NTR.

I find it boring when most games are "male protag with big dick fucks everyone and other male characters fuck no one", it really limits the number of possible stories and events. And it's extremely boring when the game lasts for years and has a main female interest that the MC has to be the only one to fuck over and over and over. At some point they fucked in every position, in every room, and unless some other male love interest comes to put some spice in the story, then there's absolutely no drama possible. Why not just go on Pornhub if they don't want interesting stories but the same sex scenes over and over ?

I think there are very annoying people on both sides, in vanilla/harem games you see people that keep bothering the devs to add ntr even when the devs say that they don't want to do it. I am not a fan of NTR but I agree that the devs should have the freedom to do whatever they want. The only thing I ask of them is to be upfront with the plans they have for their games so I can avoid games with fetishes that I don't like. For me as long as it's avoidable it's not really a problem but forced ntr is a big nope for me.

Sounds about right. Personally, I wish the foot fetish would die in a fire. Going by the games I have tried, I would assume 98.9234525% of people immediately blow a load on seeing feet on dick. Which seems...off to me.

But I also don't go to each game and complain about it. Because while I don't like it and it does nothing for me, I also don't think I need to deny others their fun just so I can have the exact game I want.

Well maybe you're right, but personally I never saw any vanilla thread full ntr lovers lobbying to have this or that when it was never the dev's intention. While on the other hand, the reverse often happens (very often): entire pages full of the same people (in most threads) doing... well whatever they always do in all those threads.
I mean, some guys even have signs saying stuff like "no to ntr", those people are more passionate than political activists lol.
Anyway, we all know there won't be ntr in Timestamps but only its better version (jk), swinging (maybe), and that it will always be optional. No room for them to complain really.

As punisher2099 said there have been many cases of ntr fans going wild. It's not only ntr fans and/or haters, it happens for a lot of other fetishes. One thing that has been happening a lot lately is, people complaining about lesbian scenes for example.

I think my biggest issue with any of it is the entitlement. I support a few games on patreon. As I am giving money to a dev, I clearly already like the game. If I have a criticism or a request, I go to the dev or use discord. For those I don't support financially currently, I try to keep my criticism constructive and polite. I also don't make wild requests/demands for a game to change its own themes to suit me. And I definitely do not get angry and commanding in these threads over games I don't pay for.

The level of vitriol, anger, and selfishness I often see made from fans of a certain type of scene (I mean any type here, not just NTR) who are probably not paying for anything is incredibly disheartening. If I were a beginning creator trying to make something all on my own creatively and financially, I would find it very hard to not just say "fuck it" and quit instead of dealing with the levels of demands and anger they often get.

If its not needed we put choices to avoid. Im NOT at all a NTR fan and i always state this, sharing is something else IF player agree on it (OVER CHOICE you made). Of course John and Jul will get together, guys they are married couple, its... normal and i wont withdraw that to not frustrate anyone because if i do the game will be boring, same as if we need to more the story forwards.

Meh, people will like what they like. Personally, I lost any interest in Juliana when it was made clear that MC would have to share her with John, regardless of what happens. I avoid those night scenes like the plague. Them not being NTR doesn't help make me like them in the slightest. She is the hottest character and has the hottest (solo or with Heather) scenes, but if that's all I wanted, like people say, I'd just go watch porn. She's also unavoidable, so what can you do. Same was for Gaz, as long as she was a prostitute, she presented no interest to me. Her renouncing prostitution improved her situation, but the scene with bacon also grated me. Whoever says that being a stripper also means they 100% are also prostituting themselves, don't know what they are talking about.

That doesn't mean I don't like the game mind you, it's actually really well made, with an interesting overarching story and intriguing characters. Veronika's arc in the past and then the reunion, the connection she has with the MC, damn, loved everything about it.
