Which game version do you have (see main menu lower right corner).

Did you delete the English.zip file or extracted it? Because you shouldn't!

Latest Version (R7PE) for Mac, didn't delete anything. Just extracted zip-File after downloading and started the game. Tried different Hosts for downloading and downloaded multiple times. Stil not working.

You don't extract the language .zip file, just toss it into the game folder as-is.

It seems that you extracted the English.zip or English_unrated.zip.

And in unrelated news : I just downloaded and extracted CGs for 2 other games, and they once again confirm my ongoing experiment : 98% of games not featuring Bacon suck.
