So I also have been getting that same error message as the rest of you. I made sure it was running on japanese local and everything. What changed for me however is that i was running my file from a seperate harddrive. Try running the file when its saved on C directly. Might help

Funny thing: Dont run it just when you extract it. Put it in your desktop folders and open it from there. It has worked for me.

if you dont have a problem with futa protag and like some side scrolling action game i recommend chronos gate its Japanese but relatively easy to figure it out and ofc you can stop time
if you are interested serch chronos gate azcat this game is from like 2015 so it maybe hard to find actual working download
