Probably because the animated files are present but the setup and triggers for the events are not. It's in the "movies" folder. No idea how long they've been in there.

An update just came out man. As for when the next one will be... go read his post or join the discord. That's probably the best place to keep track of updates.

Depending on which quest you're on... that's probably between 10 and 1 am or pm. You can fast forward by an hour using the 'f' key or resting to hop a set amount. Hope that helps.

I'm supposed to buy three ingredients for chocolate at the windmill. But the merchant at night doesn't sell any of the ingredients, and I can't interact with the windmill itself. Or am I missing something?

Sure. SO. During the day the shop will be open and you can buy what you need there. Otherwise, you may need to grind it out at the gym in order to get the money you need to buy those items but also from the guy after school hours. The Gym gives you I think it was... 24 for half the day and 48 for the whole day. This is important because Sundays only let you work there once and closes in the evening if you only did it for 24. Hope that helps... remember you can use the 'f' key to fast travel a little and to progress time by 1 hour segments.

Apparently devs think you need to think like them, read at their speed, play the game as they would not as you want...but what do I know...I'll just find another game
You can technically speed up the dialogue and scenes by holding the Spacebar but otherwise... yeah it is quite dragged out even when speeding up the dialogue boxes. If you don't want to deal with the story, you can always access the animations in the "movies" folder and the images in the "img" folder if you didn't feel like reading.
