Am not going to get into the Drama of the "purists" in the thread. Instead I will say this. Excellent Animations and the rendition of Ellie is actually quite Sexy and attractive for a 3D Character. Recently I have discovered that there are very talented and determined manipulators of game characters. What I mean is this: Many have "ripped" original game characters, and then converted them to be used with many different 3D programs, especially the Daz Studio Versions. They are actually FULLY, the game character in appearance, as they are directly from the game.
SO, to me even though the ones used are beautiful in appearance, I feel, to me only, it is MY personal opinion, that if the ones 'Ripped and converted" directly from the game would have been a wonderful improvement. I mean who else didn't think Ellie looked good as an 18 year old, which her tattoo on her arm indicates, she is that age, so a 'legal' animation could be made and used in a game like this, IF the proper Disclaimers were presented.
I have no real 'complaints', as I have pointed out above how enjoyable is was made as is. I just think seeing the REAL Ellie and Joel, would have been a more enjoyable turn on for myself and others who find them appealing.
TO the creator, I say this. Thank you for the nice short play. Please continue to create more like this one, with the characters from the game names. You are quite talented and I wish to see MORE, please.
